Across the world, recovery colleges have demonstrated to be incredibly successful in helping people overcome the barriers they may face due to mental distress and/or substance use, aiding them live a full, meaningful life. At the WA Recovery College Alliance (WARCA), we blend the expertise of lived and professional experience to encourage anyone who is ready for positive change. Our educators co-c

reate and deliver educational courses and workshops that support students on their journey. WARCA courses are available to anyone in WA who has an interest in learning and developing their health and wellbeing. We walk alongside our students with the vision that everyone should have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of who they are and live a meaningful life, regardless of the challenges they face. We welcome people with lived experience of mental health or substance use challenges, family, friends, carers, volunteers, those who work in the mental health and AOD sectors, those who work in other social, health and welfare sectors and the broader community. We assist our students to build their self-confidence, allowing them to take charge of their own mental health and wellbeing. WARCA is proudly funded by the Mental Health Commission of WA.
