Today at assembly, our amazing Maali 3 students confidently presented an engaging and important item about understanding the difference between small, medium and big problems.
Through a range of realistic and relatable school scenarios, students demonstrated how:
β’ small problems can often be solved independently,
β’ medium problems can be worked through together, and
β’ big problems should always involve a trusted adult.
Maali 3 did a fantastic job modelling positive problem-solving strategies, respectful communication and restorative approaches to challenges that can occur in everyday school life. Their confidence, teamwork and thoughtful messages were greatly appreciated by the audience.
Congratulations also to all of our Merit Award recipients. We are incredibly proud of your hard work, positive attitude and commitment to our school values. Keep up the fantastic effort! π
Well done, Maali 3, on an outstanding assembly item and for helping to build a safe, supportive and respectful school community! π

π΅A huge thank you to the Joseph Banks Secondary College music students for performing for our Year 4, 5 and 6 students on Wednesdayπ΅
It was wonderful to see some of our former Banksia Grove Primary School students return and share their musical talents with us. Watching them perform with such confidence and skill was inspiring for our students and a powerful reminder of the success that comes from passion, practice and commitment.
Experiences like this encourage our current students to dream big, pursue their interests, and consider the many specialist programs available at high school.
Thank you to the students and staff from Joseph Banks Secondary College for taking the time to connect with and inspire our learners β we loved having you! πΈβ¨

π Social & Emotional Learning π
At Banksia Grove Primary School, we are proud of our strong focus on Social and Emotional Learning, led by our dedicated Education Assistant, Mrs Brock π
Through this program, our students are developing the skills they need to understand their emotions, build positive relationships and navigate challenges with confidence. The impact has been significant, with students showing increased resilience, improved behaviour and a stronger sense of belonging within our school community.
We are incredibly grateful for the passion and care Mrs Brock brings to this important work, making a lasting difference in the lives of our students every day.
