Caring for Our Garden 🌱

This morning, Classroom 5 headed into our garden to see how everything was growing. They noticed that there were lots of weeds popping up, so they worked together to remove them and give our plants some more room to grow.

While they were gardening, they talked about what plants need to grow and stay healthy, including sunlight, water, soil and care. They also explored the garden to discover what little bugs were living amongst our plants. 🐛🐞

The children had fun naming all the vegetables growing in our garden and talking about why it is important to look after our garden and remove weeds. They discussed how caring for our garden helps our vegetables grow strong and healthy.

It was a wonderful hands-on learning experience, and the children had lots of fun getting involved and exploring nature! 🌿🥕🍅

Today we celebrated Educators’ Day and the incredible people who make a difference in the lives of our children and families every single day.

Our educators nurture curiosity, build confidence, create meaningful relationships and provide a safe and supportive space where every child can learn, grow and feel a strong sense of belonging.

To show our appreciation, we held a special morning tea for our wonderful team – a small way to say a very big thank you for the care, patience, passion and dedication they bring each day.

Jade is one of our wonderful float educators, supporting our team across all rooms and age groups throughout the service. She is reliable, adaptable and always willing to step in wherever she is needed, whether covering lunch breaks or providing an extra pair of hands during the day.

Jade builds great relationships with children, families, and educators across the centre, always taking the time to connect and create a sense of trust and belonging. Her flexibility, warmth, and willingness to support others make her a valued part of our Nido team.
