This is my third season of the Alta Warrior MMA Training Program and this is a photo of the contestants at week 15

Heading home after another great DFC show last night. Would highly recommend DFC to any fighter looking for a well matched, quality fight. The level of Aussie fighters is unreal, the future is bright for Australian MMA 👍

Off to Adelaide for the day to ref some fights on DFC - Diamond Back Fighting Championship with my good mate, (uncle creepy) Greg Klenjans.

Last night we had a fighter (Dean Marshall) compete in an amateur K1 fight, who’dh he won in convincing fashion.

Dean started HapKiDo with me when he was very young, (in my old gym over 20 years ago) and basically grew up at the gym.

Dean had a break from the training but has been back doing pads with Charlie Combat-sports and Combat classes for the last couple of years. Plus he has been helping me as a trainer in the 3 Alta Warrior MMA Training series I have run.

The whole time Dean has expressed interest in having another K1 kickboxing fight, so I reached out to match maker Brian Ebersole who found a n opponent and made the match for Dean.

Charlie and I worked together with Dean to help him prepare for the fight which I am happy to say was a huge success, Dean stopped his opponent in the second round by TKO (ref stoppage) with body shots. I want to congratulate Dean on his amazing victory and thank coach Charlie for his boxing insight 👏👏👏
