Waterside Tuition

Today I decided to brush the cobwebs off my old page. As many of you know I’m a big Barefoot fan and Scott’s latest Inner Circle release, Side Hustle Month, really motivated me to better manage my time so I can do more of the things I love doing - now and in the future!

For those who are new to the page, here’s a little about me:

My name is Lisa and I am a diagnostic radiographer with over ten years’ experience tutoring students of all abilities and age groups. I have a personal interest in mathematics, biological sciences and business studies and have also tutored English over the years.

I began full time shift work just over five years ago which saw me wind down the time I spent tutoring, however I have always maintained a minimum of two students in order to remain current with the NSW curriculum and syllabus. As I begin my training as a sonographer my working hours will be more consistent, which leaves me with more time to spend doing what I love - teaching!

Lessons are held at my home in Cranebrook Waterside and I will soon be setting up Skype lessons for those who live outside the area.

Congratulations to Luke who scored 80% in his year nine mathematics exam. Luke has been working extremely hard this year and it has certainly paid off.

If you don't currently have a school supplied textbook I recommend purchasing a hardcopy version of Maths Quest which follows the Australian Syllabus. The online and digital versions currently in use by many schools are extremely distracting for secondary students. You will see a huge improvement in your child's performance.

The year is well underway and everyone is making great progress! I have had a number of enquiries about lessons recently but unfortunately I am completely booked out for the next couple of months. Thank you to all of my wonderful students for your support throughout 2013. We have had a very successful year with some fantastic HSC results and lots of proud parents come report time. Unfortunately I am now at full capacity so will not be taking on any new students in the new year, but those who have contacted me have been placed on a waiting list and will be contacted as positions become available. I look forward to resuming lessons in early 2014 for what I have no doubt will be another successful year. Wishing you all a merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year!
