Help your child learn new words by pointing and talking about what’s around you – at home or when out on a walk.

The more you talk and respond, the stronger your child’s communication skills will grow.

Pre Kinder - Friday 28 Aug
Please arrive 5 minutes before your session (all Pre K is in the current Playgroup room).
No snack time for Pre K (there is not enough time) so please help us by talking to your children about this.
We'll dress up for Playgroup only, not for Pre K.
Mrs Deb Haberle will be in for Jessie and is running Pre K too. She is a wonderful warm educator who has years and years of Kinder experience - we are grateful for her coming in.
You'll meet Mrs Mel Atkins (current Kinder teacher) for the last two Pre K sessions.

Any questions, please reach out. ENJOY!

Introducing Talk. Read. TOGETHER

Strong early literacy grows from everyday moments – talking and reading or sharing books, together.
But how do you talk and read with your child? This is where we come in!
Talk. Read. TOGETHER is an early years literacy campaign to help families with children from birth to age five build literacy skills.
Follow the campaign via Great Start’s Facebook or Instagram.
You will see Tasmanian families putting these tips and ideas into action.
Hear from professionals on how to help build your child’s literacy skills in the early years.
And have access to other resources to help you talk, read, sing and share stories with your child.
Visit the Great Start website (greatstart.tas.gov.au/talkreadtogether) for more ideas and resources to support you.
For help with your own reading and writing call the Reading Writing Hotline on 1300 6 555 06.
