Last Thursday, our super netball team travelled to Maitland to play against Mt Pleasant PS. We played hard, but unfortunately went down to a very skilled team. Mrs Pederson and Miss Hall are so proud of the improvement, sportsmanship and dedication this team has shown. Well done, guys!

🏉 5th in NSW and Hunter Region Champions! 🏉

What an incredible achievement for our combined Pelican Flat PS and Blacksmiths PS Rugby League team! 💪

After an amazing run through the NSW PSSA Rugby League Knockout, our team travelled to Port Macquarie to compete in the State Quarter Finals against some of the strongest school teams in NSW.

Along the way, the team was also crowned Hunter Region Champions, which is an outstanding achievement in itself! 🏆

Although we were defeated in the State Quarter Final, the team bounced back brilliantly to win their next match and finish an incredible 5th in NSW!

For two small schools that had never previously entered this competition, this achievement is something very special. Our players represented both schools with determination, teamwork, sportsmanship and plenty of heart.

A huge thank you to our families for their incredible support throughout the competition, and to everyone who has coached, encouraged, and supported the team along the way. 👏

We could not be prouder of this group of superstars. Hunter Region Champions, 5th in NSW — small schools, big opportunities! 💙🏉

Well done to these amazing students who recently represented PFPS at the Galgabba Public Speaking Finals.

Our commitment to producing brilliant speakers saw us get our best results ever as a school. Well done to Lylah, Leo and Alyse for winning their sections, and Alba for placing as runner up.
