Thank you to guest speaker Penelope Langdon, Business Application Manager - Infant Nutrition at Nestlé Australia who spoke to Year 10 and 12 students about the world of food product development.
Penelope generously shared her career pathway and industry experience, bringing to life how food science, nutrition, packaging design, and consumer needs all come together in real-world product development. For our Year 12 students, who have just completed their own Food Product Development assessment, including packaging design, it was a wonderful opportunity to see their learning reflected in professional practice. Year 10 students gained a valuable overview of the product development process and a glimpse into the exciting career opportunities the food industry has to offer.
Thank you, Penelope, for your time, expertise and enthusiasm in inspiring the next generation!

This morning, Year 10 and 11 students gathered for OLMC Inspire: Alumnae Career Talks. We were joined by Kathryn Mater (Class of 2013), Samantha Mesia (Class of 2017), Tatiana Khoury (Class of 2018), and Kyah Day (Class of 2021), who each shared their journeys since leaving the College.
Their advice was honest, practical and encouraging. They spoke about embracing the unexpected, leaning on the people around you, and trusting that it's never too late to find a path that truly excites you. A reminder, too, that the friends, skills and confidence built during the time at OLMC stay with you long after graduation.
Thank you to our incredible alumnae - we are so proud of the women you've become, and so grateful you came back to inspire the next generation.

OLMC staff came together for a meaningful Spirituality Day, centred on the rich tradition of Catholic Social Teaching.
The day was marked by a beautiful shared Mass, an inspiring address from Prof. Peta Goldburg rsm, and a "Helping Hands" workshop where staff assembled Vinnies snack packs and wrote heartfelt cards of hope for recipients.
A sincere thank you to all our speakers and facilitators for deepening our understanding and renewing our collective commitment to justice and compassion - not just as values we hold, but as actions we live.

Today, the College community gathered to celebrate the Mass of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a beautiful reminder of Christ's boundless love, mercy, and compassion for all.
In a world that so often moves at pace, it was a grace-filled moment to pause, come together, and be renewed at the heart of our faith.

Celebrating International Archives Day.
The College Archives began in the 1980s, when Sr Gonzaga and the library staff started actively collecting items connected to the College’s history. Today, the Archives holds more than 10,000 items, including uniforms, photographs, trophies, badges, music scores, and school annuals.
The College Archives also welcomes donations, such as these photographs from recently processed collections.

As part of the College Wellbeing Program, Year 9 students are stepping beyond themselves. Through the Beyond Ourselves Project, students have been exploring real challenges facing their community and designing innovative solutions to build a healthier, happier, and more connected community by 2035.
Students showcased their ideas through a Gallery Walk, presenting in small groups and sharing their thinking with peers and staff. Students and staff then voted for their favourite ideas, with five teams now progressing to deliver their pitches in a TED-style talk.

As one of only 150 schools in NSW, we are proud to offer Marine Studies to our Stage 5 students, as part of our commitment to providing a diverse range of subjects that cater to a variety of interests and pathways.
This week, despite less-than-ideal weather conditions, our Year 9 Marine Studies students showed incredible determination as they completed their swim test. In preparation for future snorkelling and marine excursions, students demonstrated a range of essential skills, including swimming 200 metres, treading water for three minutes, performing a trouser float and completing a 50-metre swim fully clothed.
The girls are to be commended for their positivity, resilience and enthusiasm throughout the challenge. We are so proud of their efforts!
