Multicultural Day is here! A day where we celebrate the diverse tapestry of culture that makes Macarthur Girls such a special place to be. My thanks to the SRC, Mr Tran and Mr Johnson for your organisation of what I am sure will be a wonderful day!

Today at lunch, we kept the energy going with our Spin the Wheel Cultural Trivia Challenge! 🌍☸️
It was incredible to see so many students testing their knowledge about world cultures, and walking away with some prizes. 🧠✨

Today, we kicked things off with our henna stalls, and we are absolutely blown away by the talent in our school. A massive shoutout to our amazing student volunteers - you all proved to be absolute artists with your stunning, intricate designs! 🎨🖌️

This is just the beginning of an awesome week! 🌍❤️

Here’s a quick reminder of what’s on:

🎨 Monday – Henna Stalls at Lunchtime under the COLA | 50c per handPermission slip + correct cash required

🛞 Tuesday – Spin-the-Wheel Trivia in the Quad | Prizes to be won!

💃🕺 Thursday – Multicultural Day Performances - Students may wear cultural attire, country colours or orange clothing (with enclosed shoes). Gold coin donation required for all out-of-uniform students.

🍱🌮 Friday – Food Stalls - offering Gulab Jamun, Chips & Salsa, Mochi and Jelly Sticks under COLA at lunch! Students must bring the correct amount of cash.

A reminder that all outfits must follow school dress expectations: No exposed midriffs, short shorts/skirts, backless tops, ripped jeans, leggings, inappropriate slogans, Ugg boots or open shoes.

We can’t wait to celebrate the amazing cultures within our school community! 🌍🧡

🏙️ Our Year 10 students participated in the Girls in Property Program, hearing from industry professionals about career opportunities for women in property, planning, design, and trades in the panel discussion.

Students then visited Parkline Place to explore the integration of the Gadigal Metro and Sydney CBD development.

What a fantastic opportunity to connect classroom learning with future careers! A big thank you to Ms Smyth and Ms Dinh for accompanying students and making the day a huge success 👷‍♀️🏗️

Some of our senior student ambassadors attended the Parramatta City Council’s National Sorry Day Event today. They engaged in a range of talks and workshops aimed at developing their understanding of the significance of Aboriginal experiences.

🎭 We are so proud to be part of this year’s Combined Schools Musical, Mary Poppins Junior! ☂️
