Pyjama Day!

We loved coming to school all rugged up in our pyjamas to raise funds for Year 6’s end-of-year celebrations last week!

How nice to simply wake up and head to school without worrying about our uniforms. What a fun and cosy day it was! ⭐️⭐️

Keeping Our Students Safe Online and in Their Relationships

Over the past few weeks, students from Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3 have attended important presentations by Officer Dean, our local Youth Officer, covering vital topics such as Cyber Safety and Respectful Relationships.

Key Cyber Safety messages included:

+Always ask a grown-up for permission before using digital devices or changing apps.
+Never share personal information online, including your full name, date of birth, phone number, address, school name, or photos/videos.
+Always tell a trusted adult if you make a mistake online, such as sharing information or accessing inappropriate content.
+Use only age-appropriate apps like Messenger Kids for communication. Avoid apps like Snapchat, TikTok, Instagram, WhatsApp, or Facebook.
+Avoid playing games that are not suited for children, such as Grand Theft Auto, Call of Duty, or Fortnite, even if parents say it’s okay.

Our students also emphasised the importance of respect, reminding us to be mindful of the words we use and to show everyone respect.

Thank you to Officer Dean for delivering these valuable sessions that empower our students to make safe and responsible choices.

🌱 Science Week in 4E! 🔬

Last week for Science Week, 4E explored the fascinating world of seeds! Students learnt about the different parts of a seed, including the embryo, seed coat and endosperm, and explored the purpose of each structure.

We also took a closer look at wattle seeds and discovered that not all wattle species are edible. 🌿

We were also lucky to have a special guest speaker from our very own class! He shared his knowledge with the class and helped make our learning even more exciting.

One of our favourite discussions was a tricky question: Are cucumbers and tomatoes fruits or vegetables? 🍅🥒 Students shared their ideas, explained their thinking and discovered that the scientific answer might be different from what we expect!

It was a fun week of questioning, investigating and discovering how amazing plants really are! 🌱✨

🌱✨ We celebrated National Science Week! ✨🌱

Last week, we explored the theme "Seeds of Science: Nurturing knowledge for all."

Our K-2 students enjoyed a hands-on plant growing activity, discovering the magic of how plants grow from tiny seeds. Years 3-6 got up close and personal with seeds through an exciting seed dissection, investigating the amazing anatomy of beans.

We planted seeds of curiosity and knowledge, inspiring a lifelong love for science and nature. Take a look at the photos of our budding scientists in action! Together, we nurtured wonder for the natural world. 🌿🔬

🏉 Last Thursday, 30 of our Stage 3 girls took part in an exciting NRLW Blitz at a fun 1-hour rugby league clinic with Parramatta Eels players.

The session was all about introducing and developing rugby league skills in a supportive, inclusive environment while celebrating the NRLW season.

It was a fantastic opportunity for our girls to get active, build confidence, and try something new!

There was plenty of talent on the field, and we’re sure we’ll see these girls back out there again soon! We’re so proud of their enthusiasm and team spirit.
