As Term 1 comes to a close, we wish all students, staff and families a safe, restful and enjoyable holiday break.

A reminder that Term 2 return dates are as follows:
Staff return on Monday 20 April and Tuesday 21 April.
Students return on Wednesday 22 April.

We also extend our warm wishes to all members of our school community celebrating Easter over the break.

Have a wonderful holiday and we look forward to seeing everyone back for Term 2.

We congratulate Rachit in Year 9 on his outstanding success at the Rotary Club of Parramatta Inc Public Speaking Competition, held last week at Club Parramatta.
Competing against students from other local schools, Rachit delivered both speeches with confidence and flair. He was the well-deserved recipient of first place in the prepared speech section for his speech on Service Above Self, as well as first place in the impromptu speech section on AI in Education.
This is a fantastic achievement and a wonderful reflection of Rachit’s speaking ability, composure and presence. We are incredibly proud of the way he represented Parramatta High School.

How cool is the Maritime Museum? Year 10 Elective History have commenced learning about maritime archaeology before heading onto a submarine!

Our Year 7 Meet the Teachers evening is underway at Parramatta High School.
Parents and carers are being introduced to the learning their children have been engaging with across multiple subjects since beginning their high school journey at PHS in 2026.
It is wonderful to see our school community coming together to support student learning and success. Thank you to all families for being part of the evening.

We hope to see our Year 7 Parents & Carers tomorrow after school!

Today, the PHS Prefect Body proudly took part in the World's Greatest Shave raising funds and awareness for the Leukaemia Foundation.

Students and staff showed incredible support as members of the Prefect Body bravely shaved their heads to stand in solidarity with those affected by blood cancer. It was a powerful moment for our school community, highlighting compassion, courage and the spirit of giving back.

The final fundraising tally is still being counted, but we are already so proud of the generosity shown by our students, staff and families who contributed to this important cause.

Thank you to everyone who supported the initiative and helped make the day such a meaningful success. 💙

ENCORE 2026

On Monday, 2 March, our current Year 12 Music 1 and Music 2 students attended the annual ENCORE concert at the Sydney Opera House.

This special event showcases the best performances from the 2025 HSC cohort.

This year, we were proud to have one of our own students, Allan Adov, perform at the concert.

Our students left the event inspired and full of ideas for their upcoming HSC performance programs!

Staff have been preparing last week for the return of our school community. Looking forward to seeing you on Monday.

Congratulations to the HSC Class of 2025!
Even stronger results than last year, with Parramatta High School moving up 6 places. Dhruv Nagpal topped the ATAR list with 99.75. We had 54 students with an ATAR above 90. Congratulations to all students and staff.

Talented students from our writing clubs have officially launched their very own anthologies filled with heartfelt poems, captivating short stories and hard-hitting sports journalism.

Titled "The Light on the Hill" and "Voices from the Sidelines," this collection showcases the incredible imagination, insightful observations and hard work of our young writers. We celebrate not just a book, but a milestone in their journey as authors.

Congratulations on an amazing achievement! Thanks to Ms Mellas for organising and leading this wonderful opportunity.
