πŸ”€βœ¨ A is for achievement!

Our Kindergarten students celebrated learning all of their single sounds with a fun-filled Alphabet Party, dressing up as something that started with the same letter as their name. It was wonderful to see their creativity shine as they celebrated all the hard work they have put into becoming confident young readers and writers.

Well done, Kindy! πŸ‘πŸŽ‰πŸ“š

πŸ’› Yesterday our school community proudly took part in Wear it Yellow Day in support of Children’s Ground during National Reconciliation Week. Students and staff came together in a sea of yellow to celebrate culture, community, and the importance of reconciliation. 🌟 Thank you to everyone who joined in and brightened our school with their yellow spirit!

A phenomenal effort by the students and families of PEPS! πŸ‘
Together, our school community raised over $2000 for Children's Ground, supporting opportunities and outcomes for First Nations children and communities.
Today, all students participated in a special whole-school activity, filling in a giant hand with the coins raised β€” a powerful symbol of coming together, connection, and collective support. We are incredibly proud of the generosity, teamwork, and community spirit shown by our students throughout this fundraiser.

Yesterday all Year 6 students at PEPS commemorated National Sorry Day. We learnt all about the impact of the Stolen Generation and the offical national apology from Prime Minister Kevin Rudd in his address to Parliament in 2008. As we are on Dharug land, it is significant for us to know that in Dharug language, the word for sorry is Ngandu. The Stolen Generation Commerative flower is the purple native hibiscus. It is important to reflect on this day as part of Reconciliation Week. It helps us gain an insight into the pain and suffering caused and guides us in our pledge for Reconciliation.

Students in 5/6 Freeman have been enjoying Visual Arts lessons this term as they explore line, shape, and warm and cool colours through a range of creative activities. Students have also completed a special artwork to commemorate ANZAC Day, creating thoughtful pieces to reflect the significance of the occasion. We are very proud of the creativity and effort students have shown in their work. Enjoy looking at some of the beautiful artworks created by 5/6 Freeman!

Today, we acknowledge National Sorry Day β€” a time to reflect, remember and recognise the strength and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, particularly members of the Stolen Generations. πŸ–€πŸ’›β€οΈ
Together, we continue learning, listening and building understanding.

πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸŒŸ What a fantastic day at Zone Cross Country!

Our students showed incredible determination, sportsmanship and school spirit, and we’re proud to share that Parramatta East PS finished 7th overall πŸŽ‰

A huge congratulations to Angelina, Alex, Liara and Mayara, who have qualified for the Sydney West Cross Country Carnival β€” an amazing achievement and a reflection of all their hard work and perseverance.

Well done to every student who represented our school so proudly. We can’t wait to cheer our regional qualifiers on! πŸ’™πŸ’›

5 Baludarri explored the element of line through landscape art! Students experimented with different types of lines to create depth, detail and texture in their scenery. It was wonderful to see their creativity and the unique ways they used line to bring their landscapes to life.
