Creating a safe sleep environment is one of the many ways we care for children each day. From following safe sleep practices and using approved cots, to completing visual checks every 5 minutes, our educators take every step to help children rest safely and comfortably.

We also work closely with families to understand each child's individual sleep routine, because feeling safe, settled and well-rested helps children learn, grow and thrive.

💜 Safe sleep is everyone's responsibility, and it's always a priority.

Building Independence through routines

As part of our educational program, our educators have been intentionally focusing on developing independence and self-help skills with our toddlers, particularly during mealtimes. 🍽️

These everyday routines provide wonderful opportunities for children to practise doing things for themselves. Our toddlers are encouraged to use serving spoons to serve their own meals into their bowls, helping to build confidence, coordination and a sense of responsibility.

Once mealtime is finished, children are also supported to pack away their own plates and water bottles. 💧

We love seeing our little learners proudly say, “I can do it myself!” 💛

This October, we’re joining forces with the Department of Fire and Emergency Services WA to bring Summer Sounds X Bushfire Community Day to Honeywood Oval.

Bring your picnic blanket and make an afternoon of it, with PINK HEART Duo taking the stage at 3pm followed by The Two Cent Professionals at 4pm.

Come for the activities, emergency services, food and music – and leave knowing more about how to prepare for bushfire season.
