URT - Unimelb Rover Team

A great performance from our Excavation and Construction team this morning, you guys knocked it out of the park 🚀 we have been improving more and more everyday, can’t wait to see how we will do on the autonomous navigation task tomorrow!

Huge congrats to URT and a special shoutout to our Robotic Arm team who did an amazing job today during the Post Landing Task. We are half way through the Australian Rover Challenge and our team is busy testing and preparing for the excavation and construction task up ahead 🚀

Space Resources Task done! Although it didn’t go as we planned, we are super proud of our team who worked extremely hard to put everything together.

Day 0 testing day complete ✅

Tomorrow marks the start of the Space Resources Task, and we can’t wait to put all our hard work and preparation to the test. Good-luck to all the other teams 🤩

🚀 Update on the Manufacturing Phase!

🛠️ We’ve officially entered the manufacturing phase of our rover build! Huge thanks to our manufacturing leads, Ben and the team, for guiding members through machining and assembly, and to The Creator Space for providing the equipment and technical support that make it all possible. ⚙️✨

🔧 Technical Highlights:
• CNC machining of aluminium linkages and motor mounts for our rover’s suspension system is well underway.
• A massive thank you to The Creator Space for supporting our process through:
 – Design reviews 🧠
 – Validation and verification ✅
 – Access to CNC machines for production ⚙️
• Shoutout to for training our members in CNC machining and sharing his expertise! 🙌
