Parkes East Public School Parkes East PS provides a rich learning environment to enable students to experience success in their area of strength.

The School has a population of 306 pupils. Our community is very supportive of the school, with many parents involved in classroom teaching programs. We use a contemporary organisation related directly to the new curriculum statements released by the New South Wales Board of Studies. Special school features include high level computer networking, strong student welfare, academic and sporting progr

ams. To cater for individual pupil needs and outcomes our school community has embraced many of the beliefs of Outcome Based Education. Staff and parents plan actions to address the beliefs that all children can learn and succeed, that success breeds success, and that schools control the conditions for success. Staff, families and community work together to provide students with the knowledge, skills, attitudes, values and experience needed to participate in our society. Our staff endeavour to provide education that is relevant to needs and aspirations of pupils, responsive to community expectations, effective in achievement of high quality educational programs and efficient in the use of resources.

Week 8
Ayla 💫

The expression “quiet achiever” perfectly describes Ayla. Ayla is a student who can be relied upon to always uphold the PBL values in all school setting. Her kindness is appreciated by her peers and school staff.

Ayla is safe at school. She wears her hat in the playground, moves around the school in a safe manner and plays in designated areas at recess and lunchtime. Ayla enters and exits the school safely each day and uses all equipment in a safe manner.

Ayla is a very respectful student towards her peers, teachers and school staff. She uses beautiful manners, follows the school rules, wears her uniform with pride and co-operates with and appreciates others.

Ayla is a responsible student who can be relied upon to complete any task she is asked to do. Her outstanding behaviour makes her a positive role model for everyone at Parkes East.

Week 7
Lakaijah

We are very proud to have Lakaijah at Parkes East Public School. Each day, she demonstrates our PBL values of being Safe, Respectful, and Responsible.
Lakaijah takes great care to ensure her actions support a safe environment. She uses equipment appropriately and is always mindful of those around her.
She treats others with genuine respect, showing kindness, using polite manners, and listening thoughtfully to both her peers and teachers. Lakaijah is a quiet achiever who is considerate of others and always makes those around her feel valued and included.
Lakaijah demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility in her learning. She completes tasks independently, stays focused, and shows determination by always trying her best, even when faced with challenges. She approaches her learning with a positive attitude and takes pride in her work.
Congratulations, Lakaijah, on receiving the well-deserved "Rise Above Self" Award! Your quiet determination, respectful nature and thoughtful approach make you a valued member of our school community.

There has been a change to the program for the Western Athletics Carnival on 18th September.

The 200m races will now be a timed final.

NO FINALS for this event in the afternoon as previously held.

The new order of events will also be on the website.
