Congratulations to all our athletes who participated in the Polding Cross Country Trials at the Sydney Equestrian Centre today. You have made our school incredibly proud with your effort, determination and sportsmanship.

A special congratulations to Nazzarine Payne and Emrys Cassidy, who each earned a gold medal for their outstanding performances. Congratulations also to Nate Calabro, who, along with Nazzerine and Emrys, has qualified to compete at the NSW PSSA Cross Country Championships in July.

We wish them every success as they prepare for state championships.

🔬✨ Bright Future STEM Program ✨🔬

Our Year 5 and 6 students recently participated in the Bright Future STEM Program at Holy Family Primary School, where they explored the exciting world of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

Throughout the morning, students engaged in hands-on, interactive activities and had the opportunity to learn from industry STEM professionals about the diverse and rewarding career pathways available in STEM fields.

Developed by the Australian Resources and Energy Employer Association (AREEA), the program aimed to inspire students and raise awareness of the growing demand for STEM skills in the future workforce.

It was wonderful to see our students so engaged, curious and enthusiastic as they tackled challenges, explored new ideas and discovered the many possibilities that STEM can offer.

Our annual athletics carnival was held on Monday with all children to be congratulated on their enthusiasm in participating and cheering on all their fellow team mates. The day culminated with the traditional Staff/Student/Parent relay, with the boys team run away winners.

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped out with timekeeping, judging and in the canteen - we wouldn't be able to hold these events without you.

Did you know the Parkes Shire Library is not just for book borrowing!!!

On Thursday 11 June our Kindergarten classes visited to see what else is on offer at the library. The children enjoyed a fun-filled hour investigating the library, discovering the Makerspace and making badges, exploring the exciting Waste2Art exhibits, and diving into all the books and resources on offer.

Thank you to the library staff for showing us around this wonderful town asset and to our Kindergarten teachers for organising this fabulous excursion.

🌱Play & Grow 🌱

On Friday our Play & Grow children enjoyed a wonderful morning of playing and building together with all of the toys, drawing, and listening to music, while parents had a catch up and chat in between. As always, the bubble machine was a crowd favourite! 🫧

We also used paint pens to decorate rocks with messages of kindness. These special creations have now been placed in our Mary Atrium Garden — see if you can spot them the next time you’re passing by! 🪴🪻🪨

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Friday. We look forward to seeing you again this week!
