✳️ 19 September – SRS applications close for 2022

Apply for the Schools Recommendation Scheme by midnight to be considered for SRS early offers.

✳️ 30 September – Undergraduate early bird fee deadline

To avoid higher processing charges, complete, pay and submit your application by midnight.

We often have Year 12 students ask us if it's easier to get into uni as a 'mature-aged student'.

Short answer: No

Longer answer: It's a common myth that when you are over 21 you are ‘mature-aged' and you can get into uni based on your age. Your age alone is not enough to get you into uni. Generally, you'll need some kind of qualification before an institution will make you an offer.

For example, institutions may look at your Year 12 studies, your results in the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT), or your achievement in pathway courses.

An exciting and challenging opportunity has become available for the right person. The Manildra Group is a major force in Australia’s agricultural and food industries and is the largest user of wheat for industrial purposes in Australia.

Manildra Flour Mills invites applications from interested parties to be trained in operating one of the most advanced flour mills in Australia.

Through comprehensive on-site training, the Trainee Miller will contribute, as a member of a close-knit milling team, to ensure the continuous production of a quality product through the coordination of milling equipment and processes.

Suitable applicants should demonstrate:
• A basic knowledge of the Manildra Group
• An interest in the flour milling trade
• Commitment to fulfilling a traineeship in food processing and learning the art
of Milling
• Willing to learn computer process control
• A general understanding of work health and safety, HACCP and quality
assurance
• The ability to work in a team environment
The position will involve shift work on a rotating roster and occasional overtime.
