A Night of Reflection at Goldfields Lodge 🌺

Some nights, it’s not what happens in open lodge that makes the evening truly memorable.

Our April meeting at The Goldfields Lodge No. 40 was a brief one, but what followed carried a deeper significance. In keeping with our tradition, we held our ANZAC ceremony, a time to pause, reflect, and honour those who have served and sacrificed.

After the ceremony, we were privileged to hear from RW Bro Eric Oakley, who generously shared his time and personal experiences from his service in the Royal Australian Navy ⚓ His words resonated deeply with all present.

It made the evening all the more special knowing that RW Bro Oakley is not only a veteran, but also a former member, and the first Worshipful Master of The Goldfields Lodge No. 40 following the amalgamation of its contributing lodges in 2015.

We were also pleased to be joined by visiting brethren, members of the local community, and representatives from the Parkes RSL. Your presence helped make the night one of true fellowship and remembrance.
