🎬 Before the doors opened, the excitement had already begun.

While our guests were on their way, our team was busy behind the scenes setting up aircraft displays, preparing the flight simulators, organising merchandise, firing up the BBQ, brewing coffee, and putting the finishing touches on our information sessions.

It takes an incredible team effort to bring an event like this together, and we're grateful to every staff member, instructor, student volunteer and partner who helped make the 2026 CAE Melbourne Flight Training Open Day such a success.

Welcoming more than 200 aspiring pilots, students and aviation enthusiasts made all the preparation worthwhile. Thank you to everyone who joined us—we hope you enjoyed experiencing life at CAE Melbourne Flight Training.

What an incredible day at the CAE Melbourne Flight Training Open Day! ✈️

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today. We were delighted to welcome more than 200 aspiring pilots, students, families and aviation enthusiasts to our training centre at Moorabbin Airport.

It was fantastic to see our pilot information sessions packed to capacity, with so many visitors eager to learn about our training pathways, career opportunities and life as a student pilot. From the aircraft static display and complimentary flight simulator sessions to free coffee, BBQ and CAE merchandise, we hope you enjoyed experiencing what makes CAE Melbourne Flight Training unique.

A big thank you to our dedicated instructors, staff, current students and the Swinburne Aviation Society for helping make the day such a memorable event. Your passion and support made all the difference.

• FIR A Grade 2 Training Endorsement or higher
• Current Flight Instructor Proficiency Check
• Current Command Instrument Rating
• Experience with first and subsequent solo authorisation
 
Highly Desirable:
• FIR NVFR
• Night VFR Rating
• FIR DF
• FIR FIR
• FIR IR
• G1000 training experience
• C172 training experience
• Ability to teach PPL–ATPL theory
• Experience with international students
