🕊 Thanksgiving Mass & Catholic Charities Fair 🕊

What a wonderful morning for our Year 6 Mission Leaders!

Students attended the Catholic Charities Thanksgiving Mass at St Francis Xavier’s Cathedral, celebrated by Archbishop Patrick O’Regan, before enjoying a sausage sizzle and walking around the Catholic Charities Fair.

The fair gave our Mission Leaders the opportunity to learn more about the charities they have supported throughout the year and see the positive impact their efforts have made in the lives of others.

We are incredibly proud of Year 6 Mission Leaders for the dedication, compassion, and leadership they show. 👏

A special thank you to our wonderful Parents & Friends Committee for running our Father's Day stall on Friday and helping our students find the perfect gift for the special people in their lives. 💙

💙 Father's Day Breakfast & Liturgies 💙

Today we were delighted to welcome our fathers, grandfathers, and special people to our school community for our Father's Day Breakfast and Class Liturgies.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a wonderful morning of connection, conversation, and celebration. It was a special opportunity for our students to share breakfast with the important people in their lives before welcoming them into their classrooms to participate in their class liturgies dedicated to their loved ones.

✨ 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 ✨

Last Friday, Holy Family came alive with imagination, creativity and a love of reading as we celebrated Book Week 2026!

Our students amazed us with their incredible costumes, bringing favourite book characters to life throughout the school. The day began with a wonderful assembly presented by 2MR and 2KS, who entertained and inspired us with a fantastic celebration of this year's Book Week theme: Symphony of Stories. 📖

The excitement continued with our very anticipated Book Week Parade, where students proudly showcased their costumes and filled the morning with colour, energy and smiles (our staff even had some fun too!)

A heartfelt thank you to our parents and families for all the time, effort and costume magic that went into helping our students prepare for the parade, and for joining us!

Your support played a huge part in making the celebration so memorable for our school community.

It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the joy of reading, spark imaginations, and come together as a community. Thank you to everyone who helped make our Book Week celebrations so special, and enjoy looking at all of our photos! 💙

💙 Celebrating Our Educators 💙

Today we celebrated and thanked our wonderful educators for their hard work, care, kindness and dedication that they bring to our students every day.

This morning, our educators were warmly welcomed into classrooms for a special liturgy led by our students and teachers. It was a meaningful opportunity to recognise and thank them for the incredible contribution they make to Holy Family and the lives of our students. ✨

The support our educators provide goes far beyond the classroom. Their commitment to supporting students, building meaningful connections and fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment makes a lasting difference.

🐭 Have you met our new friends? 🦎

Our students are actively engaged in hands-on environmental learning through caring for our collection of native animals, including our new baby hopping mice, bearded dragons, and stick insects, while they also continue to contribute to our exciting native fish breeding program. ✨

Through these experiences, students develop skills in observation, conservation, scientific inquiry, and environmental stewardship.

Whether monitoring fish breeding cycles, caring for native species, or investigating local ecosystems, students are immersed in authentic learning that builds curiosity, responsibility, and a deeper connection to the natural world. 🐟

We believe some of the most powerful learning happens when students roll up their sleeves, get involved, and experience nature firsthand - and now you can too!

🙏 Celebrating the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary 🙏

This morning we celebrated the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary with a whole-school Mass alongside Father Charles, and led by our Year 6 Mission Leaders.

As an important member of the Holy Family, Mary holds a special place in our school community. Through prayer, reflection and worship, students learned about Mary's trust in God and her example of faith, hope and courage. 🕊

We thank Father Charles for joining us in this meaningful celebration as we continue to be inspired by Mary's willingness to follow God's call throughout her life.

We're hosting an Open Morning on Saturday, 22 August from 9am to 11am that will be featuring a sausage sizzle, fun activities for children, and the opportunity to explore our beautiful facilities.

We've also got Principal Tours where you can explore our learning spaces and experience our welcoming environment firsthand.

Principal Tours will be hosted every Monday and Wednesday during Weeks 5, 6 and 7 from 9:30am to 10:30am, or 1:30pm to 2:30pm.
