πŸŽ‰ A HUGE congratulations to our PGHS Debating Teams! πŸŽ‰

We are incredibly proud of all of our debating students who have worked so well together, challenged themselves, stepped outside their comfort zones and competed at such a high level.

Debating takes courage, preparation, teamwork and the confidence to think on your feet β€” and our students have represented PGHS brilliantly! πŸ‘

🌟 Senior Team
Congratulations to Nathan Kay, Visiony Som, Seyha Khouv and Andrie Canonigo, who finished 9th overall, narrowly missing a finals position after a really positive campaign.

🌟 Year 9 Team
An especially impressive effort from Dalin Tann, Rehat Sandhu, Yana Patel and Sukhmeet Kaur. This team is actually made up of Year 8 students and one Year 7 student, yet they competed against students in higher year levels β€” and celebrated a win along the way! An outstanding achievement.

🌟 Year 10 Team – QUARTER FINALISTS!
What a campaign from City Zahau, Eliana Caesar, Sahar Ali and Nita Chek, who won an incredible 5 out of 5 matches and have qualified for the quarter finals! πŸ†

Congratulations to Eliana Caesar, who was named Speaker of the Match three times in a row! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Finally, a very special thank you to Kat Ward and Scott Watson. Kat and Scott dedicate many hours above and beyond their required workload to provide these opportunities for our students. Their commitment gives young people the chance to develop confidence, communication, critical thinking and teamwork skills that will support them throughout their journey at school and well beyond it.

We are incredibly grateful for the difference you make.

Congratulations to everyone involved β€” a wonderful example of Respect, Achievement and Determination in action! πŸ’™

Don't Let Scammers Fuel Your Actions: Stop, Check, Protect!

Our PGHS Inclusive Education students recently built vital real-world skills in the Talk Money: Becoming Scam Savvy workshop with Kim Clark.

The session covered how scammers use F.U.E.L. (Fear, Urgency, Excitement, Legitimacy) to manipulate emotions, and equipped our group with practical ways to STOP, CHECK, and PROTECT against online, SMS, and employment scams.

2026 Parent survey – Have your say

The annual Parent Survey is now underway and will close at midnight on Sunday 6 September.

The survey provides parents and carers with an opportunity to share their views and help improve education at our school. It focuses on:

β€’ What we’re doing well
β€’ Where we can improve
β€’ What is important to you as a parent or carer

Your responses are confidential. Neither you nor your child can be identified, and only collated feedback is provided to our school.

You should have already received a link to the survey via email or SMS. Reminder messages are also being sent unless you have already completed the survey or chosen to unsubscribe.

We strongly encourage you to take a few minutes to complete the survey. Your feedback is valuable and helps guide our school improvement efforts.

If you cannot locate your original survey link, please use the link below: https://survey.education.sa.gov.au/sc/kT9MuPdCa71xXJMoXQnTOQ2

For more information about the Parent Survey, visit the Department for Education website.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and support our school's ongoing improvement.

Our Inclusive Education students spent a fantastic day at Morella Community Centre building hands-on skills and community connections.

Through creating mosaic art, planting trees, and prepping garden beds alongside local volunteers, our young people gained real-world confidence and teamwork experience.

A huge thank you to the team at Morella Community Centre for hosting us and making this valuable day possible! πŸ“£
