Experienced Youth Rider Sponsorship – Expressions of Interest

We’re excited to announce that we’re looking to sponsor another local youth rider for the upcoming show season.

Rider must be competition ready for the upcoming season and have time to prep and train.

With the aim of helping a young rider continue pursuing their goals in the ring.

If your horse is currently injured, retired, or out of action and you’re unable to compete this season, or you know a young rider who would benefit from this opportunity, we’d love to hear from you.

This sponsorship is about supporting young riders.

To express your interest, send us a message telling us a little about yourself, your riding journey, and what this opportunity would mean to you.

Expressions of interest are now open.

What an incredible school holiday period it has been.

A huge thank you to everyone who visited and supported us over the holidays. It has been a busy few weeks filled with back to back horse riding lessons, Saddle Club, farm experiences, two nights of camping with our local Pony Club and rally day. We have been incredibly grateful to be fully booked and so thankful for the support our little horse riding and sanctuary continues to receive.

Behind the scenes, it’s been a particularly challenging few weeks personally, but seeing so many smiling faces and spending time with our clients has made it all worthwhile. Thank you for your patience, kindness and continued support.

To everyone who secured a booking, thank you for choosing to spend your time with us and for supporting what we do. To those who missed out, I’m so sorry we couldn’t fit everyone in during the school holidays.

As we move into Term 3, our weekday lesson program will commence in the second week of term. We offer both after school and during school hours lessons. If you’re looking to join our term program, we’d love to hear from you.

Every booking helps us continue caring for our horses, animals and the sanctuary we are so passionate about. Thank you for being part of our journey. We can’t wait to welcome both new and returning riders this term. From the team at BVHR

One of the most rewarding parts of providing a natural environment for our dingoes is watching them remind us that they know best.

Our seven-acre enclosure was purpose-built to encourage natural behaviours, with space to roam, explore and choose their own den sites. We even placed large hollow logs throughout the enclosure, hoping they would provide the perfect place to raise pups. Jingera did have her litter in one of these hollows, but after a couple of weeks she decided it wasn’t the right place.

Over the following weeks, she quietly dug a new den entirely on her own.

Yesterday, our clients and I were lucky enough to witness something incredibly special as she carefully carried each of her pups to their new home. It was a beautiful reminder of the instincts and intelligence these animals possess.

Her new den is remarkable. The entrance is only just wide enough for her to slip through before opening into a much larger underground chamber. She has positioned it halfway down a hillside, facing the afternoon sun, creating a warm, sheltered nursery for her pups.

No amount of planning could have designed a better home than the one she created herself. Sometimes the greatest privilege is simply stepping back, observing, and allowing wildlife to teach us how nature intended.

Jingera has been keeping a little secret tucked away in her den, and she’s finally ready to share the news.

After weeks of patiently watching from a distance and giving her the space she needed.

What a wonderful weekend.

We had the pleasure of working with .photography for a beautiful photo shoot, and I can’t wait to see the finished photos.

I’m so proud of these young women and how far they’ve come so I wanted it to be about them. Watching their confidence, horsemanship and partnership with their horses continue to grow is incredibly rewarding. I simply provide guidance and a safe space. The dedication, commitment and progress is all theirs.

These photos aren’t just about horses. They’re about the connection, trust and journey each young woman has built with her horse, the special connection we all share together, and the quiet work of building strong, capable young women. I hope that shines through in every image.

Weekends like this are a reminder of why I love what I do.
