Fabulous cause to support. Especially this week - being BookWeek!
Let’s celebrate the joy of reading with our little people.
Books can take us on the most exciting journeys to places we haven’t yet been, they open our eyes to other worlds and they stretch our imagination.
They introduce us to new possibilities, new language, new ideas and provide an opportunity to have deep conversations. As we read, we delve into our own assumptions, beliefs and values and consider those of others.
In a world that is increasingly polarised and divided, we want our little people to share the values that Dolly inspired - kindness, compassion, curiosity and hopefulness!

Big bodies, big movement, big learning!
Each day our obstacle course invites us to climb, balance, stretch, jump, crawl and challenge our bodies each day. As little feet carefully navigate each new pathway, we are building strength, coordination, balance and confidence — learning to trust our bodies and discovering just how capable we are.

There is something special about slowing down and letting imagination lead the way. Todays menu? Crocodile food, flower soups and pizza. Nature truly provides the best ingredients.

Our dedicated educators along with the teams from The Range Community Kindergarten and Brookes Street Nambour Community Kindergarten used funding from the Queensland Government Kindy Uplift program to attend RAMSR training during our Recess break.

The program uses playful, rhythmic movement activities to support self-regulation and executive function in children.

Palmwoods Kindy have also had wonderful Lisa from Sway Creative Health providing weekly RAMSR sessions with our Kindy children. Each week we have observed significant growth in children’s ability to listen, focus and respond. We are seeing the children sharing their own ideas,improvising creating their own complex movement challenges.
