Nestled in the beautiful Hinterland of the Sunshine Coast sits the quiet town of Palmwoods. Here at Kidzco Early Learning Centre Palmwoods we offer families 8 beautiful rooms between our two centres. We provide a Kindergarten program facilitated by a qualified and experienced Early Childhood Teacher for the final year before school. Our natural outdoor environment is an extension to our eight beau

tiful rooms promoting indoor and outdoor play. Our learning environment is one of love, where we treat children with respect and facilitate their learning in all areas – socially, emotionally, spiritually and academically. We are embedded in our local community and work closely with the surrounding primary schools, preparing our children for their journey ahead. Our Centre honours the important role of the family and respects the trust that they have placed in our team. In building close partnerships with the families who use our service, we ensure we are supporting families in their role, involving them in decisions regarding the educational and wellbeing of their child. Our Centre provides morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. These meals are prepared and cooked on site by our in-house Cook, in accordance with Nutrition Australia guidelines. We have a beautiful alfresco piazza where our children can enjoy their meals in the fresh air.

Cooler weather doesn't mean the fun has to stop. With warm clothing, and thoughtful educator engagement water play can be a wonderful year-round experience for children.

Water play offers so much more than splashing:

Nature asks nothing of infants except that they be themselves. 🌿
A gentle breeze, the texture of grass, birdsong overhead, sunlight filtering through leaves—these are meaningful experiences for a baby when given the time and freedom to observe.
In the RIE approach, we trust infants to be active participants in their own learning. Rather than entertaining or directing, we can slow down, stay present, and allow them to explore the natural world at their own pace.
Sometimes the richest learning happens in the quiet moments: watching an ant crawl by, feeling leaves beneath tiny fingers, or simply sitting on the grass together.
Less doing. More noticing. More trust. More wonder. 🍃

Today with Choppy and Uncle Mack from Undumbi Culture our Kindy 1 and 2 cohorts discovered more traditional language, dance and rituals such as creating fire and natural medicines.

Traditional languages and cultural rituals have been passed down for thousands of years. Teaching them helps keep the knowledge alive for future generations. When children learn about Indigenous cultures, they gain a deeper understanding of Australia’s history and develop respect for the country’s First Nations Peoples and their contributions. ❤️

We can’t wait to continue our cultural journey over the coming months!

Today was all about smiles, learning, and having fun.
We saw some brilliant skills on display, plenty of enthusiastic goal celebrations! Most importantly, the team showed great teamwork, encouraging each other and working together every step of the way. 🏉
