When completing your Diploma is actually a little bittersweet… 💙

Emma has just completed her Diploma of Work Health and Safety in only 5 months.

We expected her to be happy about finishing.

What we didn't necessarily expect was this:

A qualification is important.

But so is the journey to achieving it.

Congratulations to Linda, who has just completed her Dual Diploma of Business and Leadership & Management.

When we asked about her experience, she said:

8 months. A Diploma completed. And another big step towards her WHY. 💙

As her Course Advisor, I recently sent a quick congratulations to one of our students who had just completed her Diploma of Work Health and Safety, after previously completing her Certificate IV in WHS.

She’s a busy professional, but completed her Diploma in just 8 months.

More importantly, every step is taking her closer to the goal she shared with us when she started:

“To contribute to creating safer work environments where employees feel secure and valued.”

Her reply to my congratulations made my day:

“C𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘎𝘛𝘐 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘺 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘺 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘥𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 😊”

It’s wonderful to see another qualification completed, but even better to know she’s using her learning to work towards something that really matters.

The difference between completing a qualification... and giving up... isn't always motivation.

Sometimes it's support.

Sometimes it's the way the learning is delivered.

One of our returning students recently told us she'd started qualifications elsewhere but never completed them because the delivery style just didn't work for her.

She came to Global Training Institute, completed her qualification, and enjoyed the experience so much that she's now back studying with us again.

Qualifications matter.

But so do the people who support you, encourage you and help you learn in a way that makes sense.

Sometimes that's the difference between starting... and finishing.

This is the kind of message we love receiving.

After congratulating one of our students on completing her Diploma of Work Health and Safety, she replied:

“Choosing GTI for my study was one of my best decisions in my life"

She had previously completed her Certificate IV in WHS with us and, despite being a very busy woman, went on to complete her Diploma in just 8 months.

There are qualifications and certificates to celebrate, of course.

But feedback like this means just as much to our team.

Knowing that someone looks back on their decision to study with us so positively is something we never take for granted.

𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁.

One of our recent graduates called us with some exciting news.

The morning after talking through his career goals and enrolling in further study, he attended an interview for a WHS role he'd been hoping to secure.

A few hours later, he called back...

He'd been offered the job.

He told us he genuinely believes he wouldn't have had the confidence to apply without the encouragement, patience and support he'd received from his trainer and Course Advisor throughout his journey.

He also believes his Certificate IV in WHS, combined with his commitment to continue studying with two relevant diplomas, helped demonstrate to his new employer that he was serious about his career.

Sometimes qualifications open the door.

Sometimes confidence helps you walk through it.

Often, it's both. 💙

𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗴𝗼 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻. 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿.

When Brigitte completed her Diploma of Quality Auditing, she was balancing work, life, and everything in between.

What she appreciated most was the flexibility to study at her own pace.

When work and life became particularly busy, she was able to apply for an extension, regroup, and continue towards her goal.

Today, Brigitte has progressed from conducting internal audits to taking on compliance responsibilities and completing external audits.

She estimates the qualification has increased her earning capacity by approximately $10,000 to $16,000 per year so far.

Her story is a great reminder that sometimes success isn't about moving fast. It's about having the flexibility to keep moving forward.
