School Business Managers' Association Qld

SBMAQ is a professional association promoting the role of the Business Manager in Qld State Schools.

The aims and objectives of SBMAQ are:

a) promote professional development of Business Services Managers
b) organise and conduct regular meetings, forums and conferences
c) improve the welfare of its members
d) encourage the support of members through networking and sharing of best practice eg via subscription to an electronic discussion list, etc
e) maintain and improve communication amongst me

mbers by production of appropriate publications for the advancement of the Association’s aims and objectives
f) gain recognition as a significant consultative group through representation on all policy making bodies which impact on non-teaching staff in schools
g) advocate for school non-teaching staff within Education Queensland
h) advance the standing of non-teaching staff within school communities
i) promote membership of the Association

From leading the diaries initiative to being a reliable, hardworking person on this committee. I truly don’t know how I would have done it without you during my first year as President.

You’ve been the calm, capable presence behind so much of what we’ve achieved. Always stepping up, always getting it done, and always doing it with such care.
