Every day at school is an opportunity to learn, connect and grow.

This week, our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) focus is Following Instructions. Listening carefully and following instructions helps students understand what is expected, stay safe and make the most of their learning opportunities. Whether it is during lessons, transitions, practical activities, assemblies or break times, following instructions shows respect for staff, classmates and our school community.

📣 Attention Families of Year 9 Students!

The Junior Education & Training (JET) Plan interviews are happening this Wednesday, 19 August.

What you need to know:
📍 Where: B Block, 2nd Level
⏰ Interview: 20-minute appointment
👔 Dress: School uniform
💻 Bring: Charged laptop

📚 Year 9 classes will not be scheduled on this day. Students only need to attend the College for their JET Plan interview.

📅 Families, please book your interview through the Compass portal. When making your booking, don't worry if there are no staff names listed - simply select the timeslot that best suits your family, and you will be linked with a member of the team.

The JET Plan is all about helping students consider their pathway, their future and their next steps.

⭐ Student Sporting Achievement ⭐
A huge congratulations to Year 11 students, Fox and Tasman, on their selection in the Coastal District Athletics Team to compete at the Sunshine Coast Regional Trials!

🏅 Tasman will compete in the 1500m
🏅 Fox will compete in Triple Jump, Javelin, Shot Put and Discus

What an incredible achievement and a wonderful reflection of our College motto, “Purposeful in our Pursuit of Personal Best.” We are so proud of you both and wish you all the very best at the next stage of competition.

District Athletics is Still On Tomorrow! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

You may have heard about the damage caused to the UniSC Athletics Track overnight. While this is incredibly disappointing, the District Athletics Carnival will still go ahead tomorrow, with some adjustments to the day’s program; please understand this may add time to the program.

All Palmview SSC students competing are asked to check in with Mr Frazer on arrival for attendance purposes.

All the best to everyone competing. Make yourselves proud in pursuing new personal bests. We are confident you will bring your best selves on and off the field.
