Driver Secondary School has had the pleasure of welcoming Year 6 students from Gray Primary School as part of our transition program throughout term 3, providing students with valuable opportunities to experience life as a secondary school student.

Students explored our campus through school tours led by our Principal's Team and participated in a variety of engaging lessons, including Physical Education, Mathematics and Food Technology. These experiences allowed students to build confidence, make new connections and gain firsthand experience of the exciting learning opportunities available at Driver Secondary School.

We have been consistently impressed by how amazing, motivated and enthusiastic the Year 6 students have been throughout every session. Their positive attitudes, willingness to challenge themselves and eagerness to participate have made the program a tremendous success.

We extend our sincere thanks to the leadership team and staff at Gray Primary School for their ongoing support and partnership in creating such meaningful transition experiences for students.

As we wrap up another successful term of transition activities, we look forward to welcoming the students back in Term 4 for even more engaging classes and experiences as they continue preparing for their journey into secondary school.

What an incredibly busy and rewarding term it has been at Driver Secondary School as we continue to welcome Year 6 students from Driver Primary School as part of their transition to secondary school.

During one of their recent visits, students enjoyed a school tour led by our Principal's Team before participating in engaging Science and Food Technology lessons. Our future year 7 students' enthusiasm, motivation and willingness to embrace new experiences have been evident throughout each visit, making this transition program an outstanding success.

We would like to sincerely thank the leadership team and staff from Driver Primary School for their ongoing support and partnership in providing these valuable opportunities for students.

As we reflect on a term filled with exciting learning experiences and meaningful connections, we look forward to catching up with the students again throughout Term 4, where even more engaging high school experiences await. We are excited to continue supporting the Year 6s as they prepare for the next stage of their educational journey.

Book Week 2026 was an opportunity for Driver Secondary School students to integrate all year levels in celebration of childhood tales, when our imaginations were exploding with a symphony of stories!

A massive box of dress-ups saw everyone unite in colour, culture and friendship. Students swapped characters and jumped through immersive narratives as they followed the Yellow Brick Road, making lasting memories together. Big kids like to dress up too!

A special thank you to all our wonderful staff who contributed their time, creativity and enthusiasm to make this event such a success. Your efforts helped create a memorable day filled with fun, friendship and a shared love of storytelling.
