Are you excited about Learning Journeys in Week 10?🤩

We are too!! Palmy Patch kids will have a Pop up shop 🛍️so be sure to pop by!! There will be lavender bags, dahlia tubers, iris plants, brocoli, lettuce, spinach and cabbage. 🥬

We love this time in the garden!! The bees 🐝 are having a busy time. And finally we have a safe and organised shed!!!!

Can you help with any of the following:
One or two pink wisteria climbers? 🌸
Olive trees?🫒
Summer veggie seeds? 🌱
Fruit trees? 🍎

If so we would love them!!

This week is National Teacher Aide Appreciation week. We recognise the incredible work our team does across the school, in Preschool, Small Group Classes, in the Library and in classrooms K-6. Take a minute today to thank them for their contributions.

Yuma! Palmy Patch kids are still seeking donations of fruit trees. We’re after a three way apple tree and a peach tree. We would also love an orange tree and a cherry tree! We are also seeking donations of seedlings if you’re at Bunnings - corn, lettuces, pumpkin (just 1or 2), tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchinis etc. Please drop off to the front office or email if you have any questions.

Palmy Patch Kids is every Friday from 1-2pm (events and weather permitting). Sadly we recently lost one of our incredible volunteers. If you would like to help please send Palmy Patch team a message through the Front Office.

ROBOCUP UPDATE

On Saturday, 29th August, 16 years 4-6 students went to compete in the RoboCup Junior Australia ACT competition at the University of Canberra. This was the first time Palmerston District Primary School has participated and our students were wonderful representatives of our school. Students faced many different challenges during the day and showed tenacity, resilience and positive Palmy spirit. We are all very proud of how they did and look forward to the National Competition coming up in October.

EMERGENCY PROCEDURES

This afternoon we practised our lockdown emergency procedures.

We do this regularly so everyone on-site knows what to do if a real emergency took place.
