A message from MacKillop Catholic College
Dear Students, Parents and Families,
We are pleased to share details regarding our 2027 Career Ready Program and invite current Year 10 and 11 students and families to an upcoming Information Session to learn more about how this initiative supports our students in achieving their career goals.
Upcoming Information Session
• Date: Monday, 7th September
• Time: 5:30 PM
• Location: College Library
This session will provide an in-depth overview of the program, answer any questions you may have, and outline the enrolment process for interested students.
The Career Ready Program is designed to support students on a non-ATAR NTCET pathway who are pursuing a vocational career.
To participate in the Career Ready Program, students must:
• Be enrolled in a VET program
• Be interested in pursuing an apprenticeship, traineeship, or trade
• Commit to regular work experience
• Attend and actively engage in all program components
• Work toward successfully completing their NTCET (non-ATAR)
The weekly schedule is tailored to balance practical experience and school-based learning:
• Monday & Tuesday: VET Studies or Paid/Unpaid Work Placement
• Wednesday: VET/ School
• Thursday & Friday: School-based academic classes (English, Maths, and Religious Education)
Participants are expected to always demonstrate workplace standards, including:
• Consistent attendance across all work placement and school days
• Punctuality
• A responsible attitude and strong work ethic
If you have any questions prior to the information session, please do not hesitate to contact Chloe Syme ([email protected]) or Jane Marshall ([email protected]).
