📚✨ BOOK WEEK PARADE – WHAT AN AMAZING DAY! ✨📚

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful families for getting involved in our Book Week Parade! We were absolutely blown away by all of the amazing costumes. 🌟

All of the children looked fantastic, and it was so wonderful to see the excitement, creativity and smiles as they showed off their favourite book characters. 🥰📖

Choosing our winners was definitely not an easy task, as everyone looked incredible!

📚✨ OUR SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR IS HERE! ✨📚

We are so excited to be holding our Scholastic Book Fair at Palmerston ELC! 🎉📖

Our Book Fair is a wonderful opportunity for our children and families to explore a fantastic range of books, discover new stories and continue building a love of reading. ❤️

Every purchase made through our Book Fair also helps support our service, with rewards and credit going back towards new books and learning resources for our children and rooms. 🌟

A big thank you to all of our families who have already supported our Book Fair. We would love to see as many books purchased as possible so we can reach our goal and give back to the children at our service!

We are so excited to introduce Book Club to our families! 📖💕

By purchasing books through Issue 5 Book Club, families can enjoy a special voucher or discount with their purchase! 🎉📚

The best part is that every Book Club purchase also supports our service. A portion of purchases helps us earn rewards that go towards purchasing new books and resources for our children's rooms, helping us continue to grow our love of reading and learning. 💕📖

Our Book Club will also lead into our exciting Book Week 2026 celebrations, including a fun Dress-Up Day, where children can come dressed as their favourite book character! 🧚‍♀️🦸‍♂️👑

We will also be holding a Book Fair, which will be proudly displayed at the service during Book Week for our children and families to explore. 📚✨

Protecting every child, every day... together.

At Child Australia, we use a simple shared language for child safety - *See it. Stop it. Say it.*

Drawing on best practice and evidence-based research, we developed our own initiative *See it. Stop it. Say it.* and we're rolling it out across every service we operate.

It's the standard we hold our educators to. And it's how we invite you in.

👀 𝗦𝗲𝗲 𝗶𝘁. - Our educators are trained to notice the small things, body language, a shift in mood, an interaction that doesn't quite sit right. We use an Adult Behaviour Traffic Light Framework that names what's safe, what's concerning, and what's harmful — including the boundary-blurring behaviours that often go unspoken in our sector.

🤚 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗶𝘁. - When something doesn't fit our standard, we interrupt early. Quietly. Firmly. Before it becomes a problem.

🗣️ 𝗦𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝘁. - We have clear escalation pathways to service leaders, to Compliance Leaders, to Senior Leaders, and where required, directly to the Regulatory Authority. Raising a concern in good faith isn't just permitted at Child Australia. It's expected, supported, and protected.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘆𝗼𝘂

Our Easter Hat Parade was a wonderful success! The children had an amazing day celebrating and showing off their creative hats. They proudly walked around the bike path, sharing their fantastic designs with everyone.

We also enjoyed a very special morning tea, followed by a party lunch and delicious cupcakes, making the day even more memorable.

A big congratulations to our hat parade winners, who were presented with a small prize for their outstanding creations. Be sure to check out all the incredible hats that were made!

We would also like to say a heartfelt thank you to all the family members who attended and helped make the day so special. 🐣🎩

Child Australia - Palmerston Child & Family ELC We’re excited to let you know that Hey Dee Ho will be visiting our service tomorrow!

Hey Dee Ho delivers engaging, play-based programs that incorporate music, yoga, drama and fitness. Their sessions are designed to suit all ages and support children’s development and learning in a fun, active, and inclusive way. Through movement, creativity and imaginative play, children build confidence, coordination, social skills and a love of learning.

Hey Dee Ho partners with childcare and education providers to enhance programs with innovative, enjoyable and rewarding experiences. Working alongside industry leaders and trusted experts, their offerings are responsive and continually evolving to meet the changing needs of today’s children.

Children in Play Studio Three and Play Studio Four will have the opportunity to participate in this exciting session.

We look forward to seeing the children enjoy this wonderful experience and sharing photos after the event :)

In 2026, our service is excited to celebrate the many cultures that make up our community. Throughout the year, we will be sharing information, engaging in meaningful learning experiences, and hosting special events that reflect and respect a variety of cultural traditions. These celebrations will be highlighted on our curriculum event calendar and embedded into our everyday learning.

Our first upcoming event will be Australia Day, where children will have the opportunity to explore what it means to live in Australia, learn about its history and culture, and celebrate the diversity that makes our country so special. Educators will be facilitating age-appropriate activities that encourage inclusion, belonging, and respect for all cultures.

If your family celebrates a special cultural event, tradition, or has a culture you would like to share, we would love for the children to participate and learn. Please let Jess know if you are interested in being involved or sharing ideas with us.
