VCE VM // Year 12 Literacy Travel Expo Showcase !
Yesterday, our Year 12 VCE VM Literacy students proudly presented their Travel Expo Showcase, demonstrating the real-world communication, collaboration, research, and presentation skills they have been developing throughout the semester.
Students worked in teams to create interactive travel expo stalls based on destinations of their choice. They invested a great deal of time and effort into designing engaging displays, producing informative brochures and pamphlets, creating decorations, and developing activities that encouraged visitors to learn more about their featured destinations.
The showcase provided an authentic opportunity for students to apply their literacy skills in a practical setting while building confidence in public speaking, teamwork, and customer engagement.
Congratulations to all students on their creativity, professionalism, and the hard work that went into making the expo such a success. We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm and dedication they demonstrated throughout the project.

HUMPHREY // Our four legged friend and staff member is still finding his way around the college during his transition days. When he has passed by students it has been wonderful to see everyone using the Dogs Connect Expectations! These really help him learn to relax and feel calm in his work environment.
The 3 Expectations are:
1. We say hello to the person, not the dog.
2. We give lots of space when we pass the dog
3. We keep moving (we don’t stand around and stare).

DEBATING CLUB // Round 3 of debating saw our students step up to the challenge and represent the school with pride!
Our A Grade team achieved an exciting win in their very first secret topic debate — an impressive effort that showcased their quick thinking and teamwork. Congratulations also to Anna, who was awarded Best Speaker for her outstanding performance!
Our C Grade team tackled their first advised topic debate. While the result didn’t go their way this round, students prepared thoroughly, gave it their all, and received valuable feedback to help them grow ahead of their next debate — their first secret topic!
We are incredibly proud of the dedication, resilience, and enthusiasm shown by all of our debaters. Well done to everyone involved!

WINTER WARM-UP TIPS // Cold weather doesn't have to ruin your day! Here are some simple ways to stay warm and comfortable during recess and lunchtime when it's chilly but not raining.
🧥 Wear Your Full Winter Uniform
Layer up with your school pants, jacket, jumper and scarf. Keeping the wind out is one of the best ways to stay warm.
🥣 Warm Up from the Inside
Grab a hot meal or toasted snack from the canteen, or bring a thermos filled with warm food from home.
🚶 Get Moving
A brisk walk around the school, shooting hoops, kicking a footy or joining in lunchtime activities can help boost your body temperature, energy levels and mood.
📚 Study in the Library
The Library is a warm and welcoming space to complete homework, revise for exams, read a book, or work on assignments during your break times.
☀️ Seek the Sun, Avoid the Wind
Look for sunny spots around the school and choose sheltered areas that are protected from cold winds.
Let's stay warm, healthy and happy this winter!

PRINCIPAL'S CONFERENCE // Congratulations to Alexandria Kent, Assistant Principal. Alex was asked to present at the annual Principal’s Conference on the work that Edenbrook is undertaking to implement the Victorian Lesson Plans at our school. This reflects the regard in which her work is held with the Department of Education in the implementation of this Statewide initiative.
