We welcome your thoughts, news and experiences. By following the guidelines below, all members of our online community will feel welcome and valued.

1.RESPECTFUL– it is important that all members of the community are treated with dignity and respect. Please don’t use hostile or obscene language, or make negative comments about students, families or staff at the College. This is a page for supportive conversations and is not a forum for debating controversial or personal issues.

2. FAMILY-FRIENDLY – our page has users that are under 18 years of age. Explicit language and images have no place here.

3. RELEVANT – please stick to the topic of discussion. Off-topic personal conversations that have no relevance to the post should stay on your personal page.

4. NON-COMMERCIAL- the College does not accept posts of a commercial nature on our page and these will be deleted.

5. LEGAL – please be aware of copyright laws, intellectual property rights and the privacy law when posting, sharing and commenting. The College will delete posts that contain discriminatory or defamatory posts that relate to ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation or belief; or that encourage illegal activity. What a fantastic day at Regional Athletics!

Congratulations to all our students who competed and gave it their best. There were some fantastic achievements across the day, including great performances from Nick, Nyak, Kyngston and Emily, with Nick qualifying for States in Javelin! 🏆

We’re proud of every student who represented our school today. Well done, everyone! 👏

Well, German Week has been an absolute blast! 🇩🇪🎺
From a live Bavarian Oompah band welcomed like rockstars, to world‑class yodelling, slap dancing and tuba playing… The basketball court was deafening with cheers and laughter as everyone got involved celebrating our German heritage as a proud Lutheran school.

It was also Footy Colours Day and PTFA BBQ Day! A huge thank you to the parent volunteers who cooked and delivered food to hundreds of hungry students 💙.

What a week it’s been to close out Term 3… and there’s still one day left (but who’s counting!) 😆

What a journey it’s been. Our students poured their hearts into every rehearsal, every song, every scene. Seeing them bring The Wizard of Oz to life was truly special.

They blossomed on stage, coming out of their shells and shining with confidence, creativity, and joy. We are so proud of the young stars they are becoming.

And to our dedicated teachers and staff, who poured a year of planning, creativity, and hard work into this production, thank you. Your passion is helping shape the lives of our students.

🦒 "Encourage one another and build each other up" — 1 Thessalonians 5:11 💛

This week, Lakeside was blessed to host LifeEd for interactive Wellbeing incursions in the Primary, complete with a special visit from Healthy Harold!

In the spirit of R U OK? Day, our students raised awareness and explored what it truly means to love our neighbours, be a good friend, show grace, and care for one another's mental and emotional wellbeing. Guided by our Lutheran values of compassion, being relational, having purposeful, being adventurous and serving, Harold helped remind us that asking "Are you OK?" is a simple, Christ-like act of love that builds a stronger, more supportive community.

It’s Musical Week at Lakeside and the excitement is huge! Our students and staff have poured months into rehearsing, singing, building sets and crafting costumes - and we’re so proud of what they’ve created. 🎭✨

We are blessed, and we are thankful for the dads and father figures who make up the fabric of our wonderful Lakeside College community. You support, guide, and strengthen our students every day. Yesterday some of our students attended the Battle of Australia Commemoration at the Shrine of Remembrance, joining schools and community members in honouring this important moments in our history. We’re especially proud of Nisinu, whose thoughtful and confident speech was a highlight of the ceremony.

Students vs Teachers Netball Showdown! 💪

Mr Tassoni held down Wing Defence in a full suit, and the staff proved they’ve still got plenty of game. The teachers may have put the students in their place yesterday, but it was a brilliant afternoon of fun, friendly competition and plenty of laughs for the watching audience… even if they only cheered when the students scored!

🎉 BOOK WEEK WRAP‑UP!

Book Week finished on a high with today’s colourful parade, too many brilliant dress‑ups to capture them all!

Across the week we met inspiring authors, explored stories in every classroom, and celebrated our budding writers through Meet the Writer, where students proudly shared their own creations.

This year’s theme, “A Symphony of Stories,” reminded us that every voice adds something unique and together, they create something special.
