📚 Author Visit: Michael Wagner!
Our students were absolutely captivated today as Michael Wagner shared brilliant insights into writing, inspiration, and journaling. He had everyone laughing one moment and sitting in complete, spellbound silence the next — especially during his reading of the yet‑to‑be‑released 'Annie’s Lantern'.
If your child would like to explore more of Michael’s books, you can find them here:

We’re excited to introduce the Lakeside College Crest!
A traditional symbol that celebrates and encapsulates our heritage, mission and future.
At the heart of our crest is our mission:
Within a Christian environment, we develop lifelong learners who strive for excellence, serve and care for others - Learn. Care. Achieve.
Each symbol reflects this mission:
Lakeside Cross — our Christ‑centred identity
Open Book — reflecting our commitment to knowledge, excellence in education and the lifelong pursuit of learning
Heart in Hands — caring for ourselves, each other and the wider community
Laurel — signifying perseverance, accomplishment and striving for excellence
Latin motto — Learn, Care & Achieve inscribed in the traditional language of education and scholarship
Families will begin to see the crest featured on our upcoming new website, official communications and formal college events.
Our Lakeside logo remains unchanged and will continue to appear on student uniforms as the familiar symbol families know and trust.

Tiger Time at Lakeside!
Our students had an incredible Q&A session with the Richmond Tigers, diving into everything from elite athlete routines and footy pathways to Auskick memories, passion, and doing what you love. Some of the questions were so sharp they even stumped the players in the best way. A huge thanks for coming out and giving our students such inspiring insights into the world of AFL.

A beautiful milestone for our students, and a well‑earned applause for our parents. From 100 early wake‑ups, 100 packed lunches, and 100 school pick‑ups and drop‑offs… you’ve done it all. Thank you for trusting and partnering with us in shaping their learning journey here at Lakeside College.

Our Year 10s have levelled up their Mt Baw Baw adventure! ❄
After yesterday’s tobogganing and meeting the alpine dingoes, today they hit the slopes for their first round of skiing.
Plenty of laughs, plenty of tumbles, and plenty of memories already. What a week it’s shaping up to be! ⛄

The flips were fast and the message was powerful!
Yesterday our students took part in the Backflips Against Bullying program which is an engaging, evidence‑based incursion that builds resilience, confidence, and real anti‑bullying strategies while strengthening our united school culture.
The team brought serious energy, with impressive acrobatics, acting, and plenty of audience participation that had students fully involved from start to finish.
A positive message, high‑impact performers, and a whole lot of student engagement — exactly the kind of learning experience we love bringing to our school community.

Follow the yellow brick road… straight into holiday rehearsals!
Our students brought huge energy and even bigger smiles as they worked on The Wizard of Oz production, wrapping it all up with a well‑earned pizza lunch. Not a bad way to spend a Friday in the Term 2 break!
