🧸✨ Teddy bears, picnic treats, and plenty of imagination!

Our children in Gumnuts room enjoyed a fun teddy bear picnic, where they engaged in imaginative play by sharing cake and fruit to their peers and teddy bears. This experience encouraged creativity and role play while supporting the development of their social skills as they shared resources, communicated with one another, and cooperated during the activity.

Exploring, creating, and discovering! 🌈✨

In Wattles learning space, our explorers enjoyed a colourful rice play experience, using cups and containers to scoop, pour, sort, and investigate different textures.

Sensory activities like these help the children develop their fine motor skills, concentration, problem-solving, and creativity while supporting children's natural curiosity. βœ¨πŸ’š

πŸŽ¨πŸ–ŒοΈ Creative Painting Fun πŸ–ŒοΈπŸŽ¨

Our little artists have been busy exploring colours, textures, and techniques through painting experiences!

Painting provides children with opportunities to express their ideas, imagination, and emotions while developing important skills such as hand-eye coordination, fine motor strength, concentration, and creativity. As they mix colours and create their unique masterpieces, children are encouraged to experiment, take risks, and celebrate their individuality.

We love seeing the joy and pride on each child's face as they bring their artistic visions to life. 🌈✨

🎬🍿 Kinder Movie Afternoon 🍿🎬

What a wonderful afternoon of learning, creativity, and connection in Kinder! Our children in Kindergarten Program enjoyed a special movie afternoon watching Inside Out, helping us continue our ongoing learning about emotions and feelings.

Before our movie began, the children created their own movie tickets and enjoyed taking turns buying and selling tickets to one another, developing their confidence, communication, and early numeracy skills through play. We shared some tasty treats during the movie and then came together for a relaxed afternoon tea, enjoying conversations with friends.

Through the characters and experiences in Inside Out, we explored different emotions and discussed how feelings help us understand ourselves and connect with others. β€οΈπŸ’™πŸ’šπŸ’œπŸ’›

A fun-filled afternoon of learning, laughter, and emotional growth!

🌼 Playdough Play in Daisies Room 🌼

There is so much learning packed into a ball of playdough!

Our Daisies children have been busy rolling, squeezing, stretching, moulding, and creating with playdough. Through this hands-on experience, children are strengthening their fine motor skills, exploring their creativity, and engaging in imaginative play alongside their friends.

We've also shared our simple playdough recipe, so families can continue the fun and learning at home. Making and playing with playdough together is a wonderful way to encourage creativity, conversation, and sensory exploration.

What amazing creations can you make with playdough? πŸ’›

🌿 NAIDOC Week 2026 🌿

As our NAIDOC Week celebrations come to a close, we reflect on a week filled with learning, connection, creativity, and respect.

Our children have explored Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures through stories, art, music, discussions, and meaningful experiences that helped deepen their understanding of Australia's rich First Nations history and traditions.

We are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate, learn, and acknowledge the strength, resilience, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. These conversations and learnings extend beyond NAIDOC Week, helping us foster respect, inclusion, and a sense of belonging every day.

Thank you to our educators, children, and families for embracing this important week with open hearts and curious minds. ❀️
