So much fun today for our 2026 Book Week celebrations! Congratulations to Camila (KM), Raheen (2B), Mehak (3B) and Layla (5B) for winning our Paper Plate competition this year.
A huge thank you to all the parents and family members who helped to make such fabulous costumes - the children looked phenomenal!

Come along to our next Family Borrowing Time at St Matthew's library next Wednesday. Browse our collection, sit and read together and take home some fabulous books to read. We'd love to see you there!

Check out all the very creative paper plate entries for our Book Week competition. The judges have a very hard job ahead of them! The winners will be announced on Friday at assembly.

Our Book Week dress up day is next Friday Aug 28. This year we will be asking students to bring along a gold coin donation or a brand new book as part of our dress up day. All money and books collected will be donated to the CBCA (Children’s Book Council of Australia) ACT for their annual Book Appeal. Each year, the appeal provides new books to children and young people in refuges, hospitals, child protection services and community organisations across the ACT region.

Today our Year 4 Shadow Judging Team headed to the National Library for the announcement of this year's CBCA Book of the Year awards. While at the National Library, the students shared what they have been doing during our Shadow Judging sessions. Members of the audience congratulated them for how confidently and clearly they spoke.
