SPARK is Paddington Public School’s new selective-entry program for students in Years 3, 4 & 5 in 2027.

Through responsive, highly individualised learning, SPARK supports children with high intellectual potential who may also demonstrate creative, physical, social or emotional strengths.

🏐❤️💙 PSSA SENIOR NETBALL TEAM ARE THROUGH TO THE SEMI FINALS! 💙❤️🏐

Our Senior Netball Team finished the regular season with an incredible 206 goals for Paddington with only 98 goals against us.

Now we need YOU! Come down this Friday 14 August and cheer them on as they take on the semi finals. We’d LOVE to see a crowd of supporters getting behind the team with your cardboard signs!

Our Junior Netball Team will also be playing a friendly game at 1:00pm, so come early and support both teams! 👏

Today, our staff recognised Lisa’s outstanding leadership of our school. While Lisa values the strength of the whole team rather than singling herself out, we want to acknowledge her incredible guidance and support. We're still smiling after our incredible Wakakirri performance last night and we're so proud to share that Paddington Public School's inaugural Wakakirri production, People Help People: Together We Are Guardians, received outstanding feedback and five Show Awards!
🏆 Storytelling Award – Great Story
🏆 Ensemble Award – Well-Performed Rehearsal
🏆 Ensemble Award – Dancing and Acting
🏆 Stage Managers Award – Teamwork (On-stage and Off-stage)
🏆 Production Award – Projection
Our Wakakirri Ambassador, Sisqo, shared these wonderful comments:
"This was a thoughtful and engaging interpretation of the theme, while also providing a wonderful celebration of Australian culture. The effective use of props and costumes clearly distinguished each scene and helped guide the audience through the story. It was particularly meaningful to see the performance highlight the strong sense of community, connection and support that has long been an important part of Australia's identity."
These awards and comments are a testament to the dedication of our amazing students, who committed themselves to months of rehearsals and embraced every opportunity to learn and grow.
To the students of Wakakirri 2026, you should all feel incredibly proud of what you have achieved. Remember that success isn't just about the final performance. It's about the friendships you made, the challenges you overcame, the memories you created and the way you represented our school with kindness, respect and enthusiasm.
