Our Year 7 Technology Excellence students have just wrapped up their edge-lit sign projects!

Working independently in class, they 3D-modelled custom bases for 3D printing and designed unique signs for laser cutting, creating their very own Wi-Fi-controlled signs.

Now, they are diving headfirst into video game design. With total freedom over their genre, students are letting their imaginations run wild on hand-drawn planning pages. To bring their creations to life during the implementation phase, everyone has been equipped with their own game controller for seamless integration and maximum motivation.

We can't wait to see the awesome games these talented students create!

It was a pleasure to welcome students and staff from Gifu Sogo Gakuen High School this week.

Last week, Griffith University hosted the exciting finals of our Southeast STEM Primary Challenge, bringing together 180 primary students, 20 student helpers and 30 staff from 9 primary schools and 4 high schools!

An event of this scale takes months of planning and preparation, so a huge thank you to Elly Halvorsen, Josh Whybird, Chantal Christie, Kirra Kirkup, Renee Noble, Scott Humphrey and Owen Carpenter for their incredible support, as well as our 11 Year 9 STEM student helpers who were fantastic on the day.

Thanks to this amazing team effort, we're now engaging more than 640 students every year in hands-on STEM experiences!

We are so proud to be inspiring the next generation of STEM thinkers, problem-solvers and innovators. đź’ˇ

Our Cert III Active Volunteering students have been busy creating something special for the staff who help make our school community such a wonderful place to learn and work. 🪴

Students gifted personalised potted plants to staff to brighten up desks, classrooms and workspaces, and let them know how much they are appreciated.

Our Year 7 and 8 Drama Excellence students had an incredible time taking part in a characterisation workshop with Shock Therapy Arts 🎭

Students explored new ways to develop believable characters, build confidence and strengthen their performance skills through a range of practical activities.

A huge thank you to Shock Therapy for another engaging and inspiring workshop!

This week, our students came together to celebrate Bullying No Way Week with some great activities focused on kindness, connection and standing up for one another.

Students enjoyed a sausage sizzle, with the bread generously donated by Bakers Delight Helensvale, before getting creative making their own badges and writing personal pledges to help create a safer, kinder and more inclusive school community.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the week such a success!
