Lower fees, local skills — Course fees reduced for 2020—21 17/10/2019

Great news! The Premier Mark McGowan and Minister for Education and Training Sue Ellery today announced that the State Government will reduce course fees to half price for target vocational education and training (VET) qualifications, from 1 January 2020 through to 31 December 2021, under the new Lower fees, local skills program. Jobs and Skills WA 30/05/2019

The State Government has responded to recommendations of the State Training Board's Strategies to grow apprenticeships and traineeships report. From 1 July the State Government will offer financial assistance to Western Australian businesses who employ an apprentice or new entrant trainee and who have lodged the training contract for registration on or after 1 July 2019.
