Space Week at Ormond campus 🪐🚀

Our little learners have been exploring the wonders of space through fun, hands-on learning experiences!

They learnt about our amazing planets, created their own solar system, made binoculars for stargazing, designed rockets and whipped up magical galaxy playdough for sensory fun.

Through creativity, imagination and curiosity, the children have been discovering our universe while building their knowledge, strengthening fine motor skills and nurturing a love of learning.

For the month of September, Banksia Ormond have been exploring “Storytelling.”

Through hands-on experiences, arts and crafts, and engaging sensory trays, the children have brought familiar stories to life in fun and meaningful ways. From creating their own Three Little Pigs houses and making ducks from playdough, to exploring sensory experiences that encourage imagination and creativity, the children have enjoyed becoming part of the stories themselves.

These experiences have supported the children to further develop their communication skills, while encouraging them to express their own ideas, creativity and interpretations through play.
