This week, the Ormond campus has been busy exploring, experimenting and discovering all things science in celebration of Science Week. 🔬🧪✨

Through hands-on science experiments, the children have been encouraged to make predictions, test their ideas and explore cause and effect.

We discovered that not everything always goes to plan, but through trial and error, problem-solving and curiosity, the children were able to explore new possibilities, learn from their experiences and make exciting discoveries along the way. 💡🔍

Grow Together Conference 2026 🌱✨

A day filled with learning, reflection and inspiration as our team attended the Grow Together Conference 2026.

We had the opportunity to sit in on three incredible talks, exploring how we can better support neurodivergent children, how we can help all children grow, learn and thrive, and an insightful session from PANDA.

Professional development is such an important part of what we do. We walked away with practical tools, fresh ideas and valuable knowledge to bring back to our centres and share with our wider team — continuing to strengthen the way we support our children, families and educators every day.

Always learning, always growing — together. 🌱

Throughout July and August, the 3-Year-Old Kinder children at Ormond have been busy exploring the wonderful world of literacy and numeracy through play, hands-on experiences and everyday learning.

From recognising numbers, counting and sorting to exploring letters, sounds, mark-making and storytelling, the children have been building important foundations for their learning. Through these engaging experiences, they have been strengthening their cognitive, language and communication, fine motor, problem-solving and social skills while developing confidence and curiosity along the way.

The 4 Year Old Kinder children had a wonderful time learning all about healthy teeth and good oral hygiene during our special Bethany Tooth Tales incursion today.
The children explored why brushing our teeth is so important, how to care for our teeth, how to floss and the importance of looking after our smiles every day.
The children were very lucky to receive their very own little dental kit to take home. Thank you Bethany Tooth Tales for visiting us and making dental health so much fun 🦷🪥

This week in 3YO Kinder at Cheltenham, your children have been focusing on building friendships and strengthening their connections with one another.

Through small, meaningful experiences, the children have been working together, sharing ideas and developing their fine and gross motor skills through play.

It’s wonderful to see their confidence, independence and friendships continue to grow each day.

The chilly weather isn’t stopping the Cheltenham Mulberry children from having fun outdoors!

At every opportunity, the children are getting outside to run, explore and challenge themselves, building their gross motor skills, confidence and friendships with their classmates along the way.

So much learning, growth and fun happening in Mulberry!

🎒 School Readiness at Ormond

Our 4-Year-Old Kinder children at Ormond visited McKinnon Primary School today as part of our School Readiness and Community Engagement Program.

The children loved exploring the school, walking through the classrooms, playing on the playground and enjoying a special story time in the library.

Experiences like these help build familiarity, confidence and excitement as our Kinder children prepare for their next big step into school.

A big thank you to Lee Beattie and Suzanne Khatib, Inclusion Support Specialist and Principal at McKinnon Primary School, for warmly welcoming us and making the children’s visit such a positive and memorable experience.

Cheltenham Acacia in July 🌿

Throughout July, the Acacia children explored all things culture, celebrating diversity and learning about the world around them. Alongside this, they continued developing their fine motor skills and independence, building confidence through everyday learning experiences.

The 4-Year-Old Kinder children at Ormond created a special “Take a Rock, Leave a Rock” space at Bush Kinder. 🪨🌿

After painting and decorating their rocks at kinder, the children shared them with the local community, encouraging others to take a rock or leave one of their own. Through this experience, they explored creativity, kindness and a sense of belonging, while building meaningful connections with those who visit our local bushland.

One rock at a time, together we’re creating a little more kindness.
