Cheltenham Banksia children engaging in their arts and crafts. From cutting, pasting, chalk and glue our children are always lining up for more. Following along with our fine motor skills arts and crafts gives our children fun and creative ways to learn life long skills.

Today the Ormond campus celebrated National Vegemite Day by engaging in culinary classes making their own Vegemite scrolls to enjoy for afternoon tea.
Culinary classes are great for the children as they develop important life skills whilst having fun. Through measuring, mixing, rolling and then finally baking. The children are able to build confidence, follow instructions and explore maths and science concepts.

Last week, our little learners at the Ormond campus explored all things Australia! 🇦🇺

From discovering native animals to recreating iconic Australian landmarks using blocks, the children immersed themselves in hands-on learning experiences throughout the week. Through arts and crafts, stories, music and imaginative play, they developed a deeper understanding of Australia’s unique culture, wildlife and landmarks.

For the month of June the Banksia Ormond children are focusing their learning on Around the World. The children have engaged in many play-based and hands-on experiences, exploring countries through arts and craft, playdough, sensory trays, re-creating the flags and much more. We look forward to see what’s to come for the rest of the month.
