🗣️ Ask the Expert: Speech Pathologist Edition 🗣️

Have questions about your child’s communication, speech or language development? This Playgroup session is for you! During our regular Family Friday's playgroup on 24th April 2026 from 9:30-11:30am Cnr of School Rd & Mt Cotton Rd, Capalaba

The wonderful Speech Pathologist from The Benevolent Society Early Childhood Approach team will be available to answer general questions, share practical tips, and talk through referral pathway options perfect if you’re unsure where to start or what supports are available.

✨ They can help with topics such as:
• Speech sound development (unclear speech)
• Language delays or concerns
• Stuttering
• Social communication skills
• Early communication and play
• Feeding or mealtime questions
• Understanding when a referral may be needed and where to go next

✅ This is not an assessment, but a chance to ask questions, learn more, and feel confident about your next steps.

SAVE THE DATE - Under Eights Week Launch 2026!

In partnership with QUT Education, we are excited to announce a special event to launch ECA Qld's 2026 Under Eights Week.

Join colleagues for shared conversation on Wednesday 20th May for the 2026 Together in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) event at QUT Kelvin Grove (or online). We will listen to a panel of ECEC professionals including Professor Ann Farrell, Julie Price, Kim Crisp and Rosalie Raciti who will discuss the theme of Celebrating Seventy years of Leadership, Advocacy and Vision.

Arrive early or stay afterwards for light refreshments, networking and to engage with our ECA Qld history panels display.
