We love having Jacquie at our centre, cutting the children’s hair. This week when she visited, four of our team members also got their hair cut! It’s 100% true, Jacquie does a great job for everyone! Haircuts make me Coconuts

While many of you know me for my kids’ hairdressing, I’d love to remind everyone that I also offer mobile hairdressing services for the whole family ✂️ From trims to colors and restyles, I can take care of most aspects of hairdressing in the comfort of your own home.
I also provide on-site haircuts at childcare centres, making it easy and stress-free for busy families. If you’re a parent or know a centre that might be interested, I’d love to chat about bringing this service to you!

In our Toddler room where we care and educate our wonderful 2-year-old children, we love to provide opportunities for them to make sense of their world around them. Today they had the opportunity to mix, ‘cook’, and create food/potions while also learning to play alongside others. This is where you can truly see how our children learn through play 😊

Our kindergarten children have shown a lot of interest in camping lately and it has been so lovely to see them sitting in little camp chairs amongst the trees in our playground. The discussions around their own experiences of camping has been enlightening and I am not sure if they have ever cooked marshmallows over a fire, but they did gather sticks and pretend to cook them - be careful, 'cause they're hot!
Yesterday, our wonderful teacher created an amazing experience for these children. They got to actual cook marshmallows over a fire! It is this kind of risky play (all steps were taken to eliminate any risks) that we highly value. We won't bore you with all the learning that went on, but this is true learning through play that is meaningful.
