𝗢𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘂𝗹𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗔𝘁𝗵𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 – 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆!

The countdown is on! Ormeaulympics is happening next Tuesday, and we're looking forward to a day filled with fun, laughter and plenty of friendly competition.

Students will have the opportunity to compete in a range of track and field events, whether they're aiming to qualify for Districts or simply getting involved to earn PB4L Eagle Points.

This year's theme is Childhood Characters, so we're excited to see students embrace the theme and bring some extra fun and colour to the day.

Whether you're chasing a personal best, cheering on your friends, or just giving it a go, every student can play a part in making the day a success.

We can't wait to see everyone on the field, dressed as their favourite childhood characters and creating memories that will last long after the finish line!

𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟴 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆

Our Year 8 students are currently taking part in Visual Arts Experience Day during PWD on a Wednesday. It's giving them the opportunity to explore their creativity, experiment with different artistic techniques and experience what studying Visual Arts in the senior years can offer.

With subject selections just around the corner, the day served as a great introduction to the exciting opportunities available in Year 9 Visual Arts. From developing practical skills to expressing ideas in unique and creative ways, Visual Arts offers students the chance to challenge themselves and bring their imagination to life.

A huge congratulations to our talented Year 8 AOFX students Inndee, Hannah and Belle, who have been selected in the Pacific District Futsal Team!

The girls will now progress to trials next term for a place in the South Coast Futsal Team. We are incredibly proud of their achievement and can't wait to see what they accomplish next.

Good luck at the next stage of the selection process!

𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗔 𝗖𝘂𝗽 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗨𝟭𝟰 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀!

A huge congratulations to our U14 Boys and U14 Girls ISSA Cup teams, who both delivered outstanding performances in their latest matches yesterday.

⚽ U14 Boys: 9–1 Victory
⚽ U14 Girls: 4–1 Victory

Both teams showcased excellent skills and produced some fantastic football throughout the day.

A special congratulations to our U14 Girls, who have topped their group and secured their place in the next round of the tournament!

Our U14 Boys have one final group game remaining next week and will be looking to continue their strong form.

Well done to all players and coaches on another fantastic set of results. We wish both teams all the best in the next stage of the competition.

For students who have secured 120 points, invitations to attend have been sent to Parents/Carers. Please ensure you complete the permission form via QParents to confirm your child’s attendance.

📅 Excursion Date: Wednesday 24 June 2026
🕒 Times: Students attend Period 1 as normal. Period 2 students will then head to the Lecture Centre to have their name marked off the roll.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
• Students MUST wear full school uniform (this is not a free dress day)
• Parents/Carers are required to collect students from school at approximately 3.30pm on the day

A huge congratulations to our Senior Boys AoFX team, who delivered a dominant 7–0 victory in Game 3 of the UHLSport Cup Group Stage yesterday.

The team played some excellent football, combining strong attack with a solid defence and some quality goals to secure a well-deserved win.

Well done to all players and coaches on a fantastic result. We look forward to seeing the team continue their strong form!

𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟵 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

Our Year 9 Science students are currently exploring the fascinating world of the reproductive system as part of their Biology studies.

After learning about different reproductive strategies in plants and animals, students recently took part in a hands-on flower dissection activity. This practical investigation allowed them to closely examine and identify the male and female structures of a flower, gaining a deeper understanding of how these specialised parts work together to enable reproduction and seed formation.

It's always exciting to see learning bloom!

A reminder that Wednesday, 17 June is State of Origin Jersey Day!

Students are invited to show their team pride by wearing a Queensland or New South Wales jersey, shirt, or supporter colours to school.

𝙋𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧: This is not a free dress day. Students must wear their normal school uniform, with only their usual school shirt or jumper being replaced by a QLD or NSW jersey/shirt, or clothing in maroon or blue supporter colours. All other uniform requirements remain in place.

We’re looking forward to seeing the Woods filled with plenty of Origin spirit and friendly rivalry ahead of the big game!
