Establish in 1998, the College has grown from an initial enrolment of 132 students to just under 1,000 students, who are encouraged to accept Christianity as the spiritual and moral basis of life and to come to personal faith

in Jesus Christ. We aim to nurture students so that they are able to accept responsibility, demonstrate commitment and personal initiative, become self-disciplined and show sensitivity to the needs of others. Penrith Anglican believes that learning is learnable and aims to stimulate in students intellectual curiosity, the capacity to tackle problems, the ability to think both creatively and logically and the ability to work co-operatively. The College provides an imaginative, purposeful, caring and enjoyable learning environment, enabling students to progress in accordance with their individual needs and abilities.

HISTORY IN THEIR HANDS // Year 9 students studying the History, Mystery and Conspiracy Elective visited the Australian National Maritime Museum to explore Treasures of the Viking Age: The Galloway Hoard.

Buried around AD 900 and hidden for more than 1,000 years, the Galloway Hoard offers a remarkable glimpse into the lives, beliefs and connections of people during the Viking Age.

During a hands-on workshop, students examined replica artefacts, practised the skills historians use to interrogate sources and looked beyond familiar Viking stereotypes to consider what the Hoard reveals about the people who concealed it.

They also sketched artefacts and explored the exhibition, viewing objects more than 1,000 years old. The opportunity to handle replicas was a particular highlight, with students describing the excursion as engaging, memorable and a fascinating way to experience history beyond the classroom.

PRIMARY DISCO // The lights went down, the music went up and PAC’s Primary students took over the dance floor!

Across three sessions, students from Pre-K to Year 6 danced with friends and made the most of every song played by DJ Ellison of Ellison Mixes (PAC Class of 2025). Members of the Secondary Student Leadership Team joined them on the floor, supporting our youngest dancers and helping to keep the energy high.

Meanwhile, parents and carers gathered in the Primary Assembly Area for live entertainment from PAC’s own Ollie “The Tin Man” and Matt Johnson.

A special thank you to our Year 10 students, who cooked and served at the sausage sizzle, with all proceeds donated to their chosen charity, Pancare Foundation.

Thank you to the PAC Parents and Friends Association, our performers, student leaders, volunteers and families for creating such a fun night for our Primary community. 🪩🎶

NEW PAC HOUSE NAMES ANNOUNCED // Two remarkable women. Two new Houses. A new legacy begins at PAC.

Today, students discovered the names of the two Houses joining our College community in 2027.

More than new names and colours, these Houses will create greater opportunities for students to be known and valued, develop as leaders and experience a strong sense of belonging from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12.

SECONDARY LEADERSHIP INVESTITURE // We are proud to introduce the Secondary student leaders who will help lead our College community in 2027.

The Leadership Investiture is an important moment in the life of PAC, recognising students who have been entrusted with the opportunity to serve, represent and encourage their peers in the year ahead.

Leadership at PAC is about more than wearing a badge. It is about setting an example, contributing to the life of the College and using your influence to make a positive difference in the community around you.

PAC'S GOT TALENT // From powerhouse vocals and dance routines to brilliant band performances, PAC's Got Talent gave our Secondary students the chance to step into the spotlight and share what they can do.

Just as impressive was the support from the crowd, with students getting behind their Houses and creating a fantastic atmosphere throughout the event.

Of course, a show like this takes plenty of work off stage too. A huge thank you to our Year 11 and 12 Entertainment classes, the junior students who assisted backstage,
and the 2026–2027 Student Leadership Team for helping bring it all together.

MAKING WAVES IN MELBOURNE // Congratulations to Klarissa G (Year 11), who returned from the School Sport Australia Games in Melbourne last week with an impressive three medals.

Klarissa claimed silver in both the 800m and 1,500m Freestyle, along with bronze in the 400m Freestyle, rounding out a terrific week of racing on the national stage.
A fitting finish to the school swimming calendar.

WELCOMING OUR GRANDPARENTS // Last week, we welcomed grandparents to campus for a special afternoon of connection, celebration and shared experiences.

After enjoying refreshments together, grandparents were invited into classrooms to see learning in action and spend time in the spaces that form such an important part of their grandchildren’s school days. Across the College, families also enjoyed games, board games, photobooths, the Book Fair and a movie room.

It was a wonderful opportunity for students to proudly share their College with some of the people who encourage, support and cheer them on throughout their lives.

Thank you to every grandparent who joined us and helped make the afternoon so memorable.

100 DAYS WISER // Kindergarten recently marked a very special milestone: 100 days of school.

To celebrate, students arrived looking several decades ahead of schedule, complete with flat caps, pearls, spectacles, walking sticks and plenty of personality. After parading their wonderfully creative costumes, they continued the fun with special classroom activities and experiences inspired by the number 100.

In just 100 days, our Kindergarten students have learned new routines, taken on new challenges and grown in confidence and independence. We loved celebrating how far they have already come and cannot wait to see what the rest of their first year brings.

LEADERSHIP BEGINS WITH SERVICE // Our new College leaders spent two days in Katoomba exploring what it means to lead at Penrith Anglican College.

Principal, Mrs Grima opened the retreat by encouraging students to consider the qualities and responsibilities of leadership within our College community.

The group was then joined by Associate Professor Paul Kidson from Australian Catholic University, who challenged their thinking about leadership and helped them develop the confidence to present to large audiences.

On Sunday evening, Deputy Principal, Mr Rheinberger led a session on service and relationships, and the important role both play in effective leadership.

The retreat gave our student leaders valuable time to learn, reflect and connect as they prepare to serve the College community in the year ahead.
