The Canobolas High School Class of 1966

The first staff and students of The Canobolas High School class of 1966, who commenced their schooling at Orange High School are invited to an Informal catchup to celebrate 60 years since commenced our High School years together. This will be held on Saturday the 2nd May, 2026 at Waratah's Sports Club, Orange. Meet and Greet from 11am. Lunch 12.30pm. You are responsible for the payment of your own meal and drinks. The current principal has requested input to a change in the school badge/logo. It appears he is wanting to change the very foundations that the school was built on, eg badge, logo, house names. The survey closes this coming Friday, 12 December. There is the opportunity to choose from three options and add your comments. Please write as much as you can as, hopefully, our comments will be taken into consideration. Links to the survey are also on the school's website and page. It's with a heavy heart that I give you this sad news. Kerrie Nicholls (nee Moad) passed away on Saturday 20 September. I know you will all have lovely memories of Kerrie, a caring, thoughtful and very musical fellow student as well as a loving wife to Paul and adored mother of Lee, Steven and Robin. A celebration of Kerrie's life will be held at 2pm on Friday 26 September at Millthorpe Museum for those who are close by.

A little something to make you smile - and remind us of all the changes we've seen in our lifetime (so far).

Thinking of all our ex students who live in the northern rivers area of NSW and all those who have moved north of the border. Keep safe from the effects of Cyclone Alfred in the next week or so.

Just found some photos from the 2017 50th anniversary weekend.

Some very sad news. Col Scarr contacted me recently to let me know that his wife of 52 years, Beryl, died peacefully late on Saturday 22 June. She had been suffering from pancreatic cancer since early 2023. Beryl was surrounded by Col and two of their three children at the time of her passing. Beryl and Col have nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren who will also miss her greatly. Our thoughts are with Col and his family at this very difficult time.
