COLOUR MIXING ๐จ
Today in our preschool room we put our science hats on and started talking about how we can mix paints together to make different colours. We had an intensive discussion first before we got ourselves ready to get hands on and make our own. We picked colours from orange, green and purple and were helped by Miss Paige to mix them to make our new colours. Our faces were amazing and we were so excited to see the colours changing- to begin to make a new colour.
We have extended on our fine motor, sensory and cognitive development when we explored and participated in this experience.

Vegetable Garden ๐ชด
Last year we harvested our lettuce and re-planted some cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, zucchini and pumpkin.
Today after checking, we have our first cucumber growing nicely on the tree with lots more ready to grow.
Keep posted when we taste test our own grown vegetables ๐ฅ

๐ฉ๐ผโ๐ GRADUATES ๐
On Friday we celebrated the graduates of our preschool room for 2025. We had a great evening of celebrating with our families. Our preschool children worked hard all year to learn a dance which they performed for their families.
We wish them nothing but the best for their next adventure of learning at big school. We are going to miss them all dearly here at Happy Feet!

INTRODUCING BECKY AND BETTY ๐
Our New Happy Feet chickens. We were super excited to see and pat our new chickens. We watched them picked at their foods, drink the water and listened to their noises as they spoke to one another. We save all of our left overs here at Happy Feet to feed our chickens- nothing goes to waste. ๐

Today our Preschoolers made some coconut ice using just 4 ingredients. We listened carefully as we learnt what ingredients we would be using before we started to prepare to make our delicious coconut ice. First up we made sure our hands were clean. We poured in our condensed milk, watching it carefully as it went into our bowls. We added red food dye into one to make our condensed milk pink and stirred it through. Afterwards we added some icing sugar and mixed that through each mixture well before adding in our fine descented coconut. We mixed it through and patted down the mixture to make the the layers even for the white and pink sides. We left it to set and are so excited to gift it to our families for Christmas ๐

We had a lovely visit today from our local Senior Constable Schmich. He showed us his car, the different buttons that turn the lights and sirens on as well as spoke to us about the different safety items he carries in case of an emergency. We had fun sitting inside the car, and having a look inside. We absolutely enjoyed our visit from him and loved learning about the Police and how they keep us safe ๐ฎโโ๏ธ ๐

Thursday 20th November we had a very special visit from Meg, at Orange Regional Conservatorium. Meg showed our preschool friends everything to do with music. We sang songs together making our voices go really high or really low. We guessed the names of some different instruments before being able to have a go at some shakers. Scarfs were given for some more of dance using different materials to see how it moved to the music. We listened to the strings of Megโs ukulele. We finished off with a relaxation music watching bubbles float by! It was such a lovely, musical morning ๐ถ
