Last week, our Primary and Secondary Dance teams participated in the City of Orange Eisteddfod .
Both teams danced beautifully, gave their very best, and represented Orange Christian School with enthusiasm, teamwork and great sportsmanship.
It was wonderful to see our students involved in this local community event and sharing their talents on stage alongside other schools and dance groups from across the Orange region.
We are incredibly proud of the effort, commitment and courage our student showed in both performances. Well done to every student involved and thank you to the staff and families who supported them.

YEAR 8 ENGLISH – BOOK TASTING
Year 8 English students recently took part in their first Book Tasting in the Learning Hub.
With tables filled with books from a variety of genres, including Fantasy, Mystery, Historical Fiction and Comedy, students explored new reading options in an engaging and interactive way. Guided by our librarian, Mrs St Julian, students used a menu-style brochure to sample different books, selecting an appetiser, main and dessert to record and reflect on.
It was a wonderful opportunity for students to discover new genres, broaden their reading interests and enjoy the connection between books and creativity.

YEAR 12'S LAST FIRST DAY
Yesterday marked another milestone for our Year 12 students as they celebrated their last first day of term at Orange Christian School.
From their very first days in the classroom to the countless memories made through learning, friendships, camps, sport, performances and everyday moments, they are now one step closer to the end of an incredible journey at OCS.
As they begin the countdown to graduation and prepare for their HSC Trial examinations, we invite our OCS community to keep our Year 12 students in your prayers. Please pray for wisdom, peace, perseverance and confidence as they study, and that they would know God's presence and encouragement throughout this important season.
We are so proud of each of you and look forward to celebrating the milestones still to come.

101 DAYS OF KINDERGARTEN
Our Kindergarten students recently celebrated the milestone of 101 Days of Kindergarten.
Inspired by the classic Disney story 101 Dalmatians, students came dressed in black and white as Dalmatian puppies and enjoyed a day of fun, learning and celebration. Throughout the day, they explored the number 101 through engaging literacy and numeracy activities, marking just how much they have learnt and grown over the past 101 days.
The celebrations concluded with students enjoying the animated Disney classic together, making for a memorable way to celebrate this special milestone.
Congratulations to our Kindergarten students on reaching 101 days of learning, growth and achievement. We look forward to all that they will continue to accomplish throughout the rest of the year.

JUNKYARD BEATS WORKSHOP HITS THE RIGHT NOTE!
What an incredible experience for our Primary and Secondary students as they took part in an interactive Junkyard Beats workshop!
Students discovered that music can be made from almost anything, using everyday recycled items to create exciting rhythms and performances. The room was filled with energy, laughter and creativity as they worked together, explored new sounds and experienced the joy of making music as a team.
It was fantastic to see students across both Primary and Secondary fully embracing the experience, encouraging one another, stepping outside their comfort zones and having so much fun along the way. Workshops like these provide wonderful opportunities to build confidence, foster creativity and celebrate the power of collaboration through music.
A huge thank you to the Junkyard Beats team for sharing their passion and inspiring our students to see the extraordinary possibilities hidden in ordinary objects. It was an experience our students will be talking about for a long time!
