Notice of Annual General Meeting (AGM) — CHARMS

All members of the Charles Sturt Health and Rural Medical Society (CHARMS) are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Date: Tuesday, 6th October 2026
Time: 6:00 pm
Venue: Online (meeting link to be circulated closer to the date)

The AGM is an important opportunity to:
- Review the activities and achievements of the past year
- Present financial and committee reports
- Elect the incoming committee for the next term
- Discuss any other business raised by members

The Western Sydney Critical Care Society have kindly invited students of CSU to attend EMC 2!

Is med school getting a bit boring? Are you looking for a challenge to spice up your life? WSCCS is bringing you the opportunity to test out your clinical skills and your stress response!

This event will involve teams of mixed preclinical/clinical students managing a simulated set of acute clinical scenarios. For their second EMC of the year, they will be presenting you 7 action packed stations (+1 rest station) to get that cerebral vasculature pumping.

Date and time: Friday 18th September starting at 4:00pm
Location: Macarthur Clinical School, level 1

The Western Sydney Critical Care Society is super excited to present our EMC 2, and to invite the students of CSU!

Is med school getting a bit boring? Are you looking for a challenge to spice up your life? WSCCS is bringing you the opportunity to test out your clinical skills and your stress response!

This event will involve teams of mixed preclinical/clinical students managing a simulated set of acute clinical scenarios. For our second EMC of the year, we will be presenting you 7 action packed stations (+1 rest station) to get that cerebral vasculature pumping.

Date and time: Friday 18th September starting at 4:00pm
Location: Macarthur Clinical School, level 1

This EMC will follow the standard structure of teams of 6 with at least 2 preclinicals. However, we have no inherent requirements, and we are willing to accept any combination of partial teams, and individuals, and we will allocate accordingly. We do not recommend teams >6.

We would strongly recommend having someone year 4+.

We can only host 8 teams and intend to reserve one slot for a CSU team should there be enough interest. For this reason, we would strongly encourage a full team with a mix a across years

Delphi Study Invitation: Help Shape a National Survey on HIV PrEP - CHARMS is sharing this opportunity on behalf of the CSU research team.

Researchers are seeking participants to help refine a national survey on HIV PrEP awareness, knowledge, attitudes, and access among gay, bis*xual, and other men who have s*x with men in Australia.
You may be eligible if you are:
• Someone with experience using or considering PrEP
• A GP or clinician who prescribes PrEP
• A s*xual health or HIV prevention worker

Participation is flexible, takes approximately 60 minutes total, and participants will receive $150.
