Orange Flight Training

Congrats to Lockyer “Bronco” Elliot on passing his final check from our navigation course last week. Bronco has left Orange to start his officer training course with the Royal Australian Air Force starting today. From the OFT Family we wish you the best!

Congratulations to our newest Instructor Harry Clifford “shaggy” on passing his check ride with Examiner Dan Compton from Dan Compton Harry has been taught by us from Ab-inito and Dan has been working and helping us for the last few years to get our candidates through. Busy weekend at OFT… Congrats to our latest First Solo, Hugh “Stumpy” Stump. And to Ava “Abs” Sutherland on her cross-country endorsement which she aced at only 16 years of age!! Well done from the OFT family 😊

We had a very busy weekend flying with our students. Some of them were keen to try our latest aircraft and loved it. FYI our next pilot course is starting 30th to 31st of May. Getting in contact if you are interested in getting your wings 🪽

Congrats to Darren Greentree on completing his First Solo in minimum hours following our training syllabus. Darren showed dedication and great work ethic to achieve this milestone. Well done form the OFT team ✈️

Just a heads-up! To meet the growing need for pilot training, OFT is expanding our aircraft fleet. We’re excited to welcome the Evektor—it’s quite similar to our Bristell with amazing manoeuvrability and visibility, which is currently undergoing maintenance and should be back in action by the end of next week. If you’re interested in flying this lovely machine, please get in touch!

Congratulation to Lockyer “Bronco” Elliot on passing his flight test on the weekend. Bronco is only 18 years old, started flying for the first time in July last year and it has been accepted as an officer with the Royal Australian Air Force.
