Toddler 1 cooking with Lisa! 👩‍🍳

The children got ready for their cooking session by putting on chef hats and aprons. Lisa brought in the ingredients to make carrot and beetroot muffins, and the children excitedly poured and mixed them together, watching the colours blend. 🥕

Everyone enjoyed the muffins for afternoon tea! 😋

Recently, the children in Preschool 1 have been excitedly learning about pets. To build on this interest, families have brought in their pets to meet the children and share how they care for them.

We’ve welcomed birds, lizards, lambs and dogs! What an exciting and engaging learning journey it has been for the children as they discover more about these animals and how to care for them.

We recently sadly farewelled Silvia from Rise.

Silvia has been a wonderful and caring educator throughout her time with us, working predominantly in our Nursery spaces and forming many special connections with our children and families.

We are so grateful for everything Silvia has contributed to Rise over the years and wish her all the very best as she begins her next chapter. She will be greatly missed! 💛

What an exciting time for Preschool 3, who recently went on an excursion to Colin’s Bookstore and Orange City Library!

The children have loved their recent library dramatic play area in the classroom, so an excursion to a real-life library and bookstore was a wonderful extension of their learning.

At the bookstore, the children helped choose some new books to purchase for their class. Over at the library, they enjoyed story time before having the opportunity to get creative with some craft activities and explore musical instruments.

Such a wonderful way to bring their classroom learning to life!

Recently the nursery children were treated with an exciting incursion from "Mini Explorers Sensory Play". The sensory trays were setup to follow on with the children's current interests of insects, spring and pretend play. The children had so much fun exploring and playing with their senses.
