🥁 African Drumming in Toddlers! 🥁
Recently, our Toddlers enjoyed a fun and interactive African Drumming incursion! The children excitedly listened to the different sounds of the drums and followed the beat by clapping along.
They also learnt how goat skin is traditionally used for the top of the drum – how interesting! Afterwards, the children had the opportunity to play the drums themselves, exploring rhythm, sound and music through hands-on learning.
What a fun experience for our Toddlers! 🥁🎶

Last week, our educators and families were lucky enough to have Karen from Learn2Communicate join us for a Speech Information Session.
It was a valuable and informative session exploring speech development in the early years and how both educators and families can support children as their speech and communication skills develop.
A big thank you to Karen for sharing your knowledge and expertise with our Rise community!🌟

🚲 Toddler Bike Day Fun! 🚦
Our Toddler 1 children have recently shown a keen interest in transport and vehicles, so our educators created the perfect opportunity to extend their learning!
Families were invited to bring their children's bikes and scooters to the centre for a fun-filled morning of riding in the car park. A section of the car park was transformed into a mini road network, complete with stop and go signs and a riding track for the children to explore.
As they rode around, the children developed their gross motor skills, practised road safety, took turns, and built confidence—all while having an incredible time with their friends.
The day was such a success that our other classrooms are already planning their own Bike Days! 🚴💙

🌟 Meet Our New Educational Leader – Kaley! 🌟
We’re excited to introduce Kaley as the new Educational Leader at Rise Early Learning!
With more than 10 years of experience in early childhood education, Kaley began her journey as a trainee before completing her Bachelor’s degree and continuing her professional learning. She is passionate about creating nurturing, inclusive environments where every child feels safe, valued, and supported to thrive.
Having previously led our Nursery Hub, Kaley has played a key role in mentoring educators and supporting high-quality programs across our nursery rooms. In her new role, she looks forward to working alongside our entire team, fostering continuous improvement, mentoring educators, planning meaningful experiences, and supporting quality practice across all nine rooms.
"No two days are ever the same in early childhood education, and that's what I love most. Building trusting relationships with children, supporting their growth, and watching them gain confidence is incredibly rewarding. I'm excited to bring my passion for quality care and continuous improvement to my new role as Educational Leader."
Congratulations, Kaley! We can't wait to see the positive impact you'll continue to make across our service. 💙
Pyjama Week Fundraiser 🌟 ❤️🫶
This week at Rise Early Learning we are raising awareness and much needed funds for the Pyjama Foundation. By wearing our PJs and raising funds, we are helping The Pyjama Foundation give children in foster care something truly life changing: a dedicated Pyjama Angel mentor.
Your donation will help recruit, screen, train, and match a “Pyjama Angel” with a child who needs them most. These volunteer mentors do more than read books or help with homework. They build trust, confidence, and a love of learning that can change the course of a child’s life.
Together, we can help children in foster care dream bigger and believe in themselves
