After Family Day Care Week, I’ve been thinking about what comes next.

Because awareness is one thing…
but recognition, support, and inclusion? That’s something else entirely.

Family Day Care deserves to be:
⭐ considered in policy conversations
⭐ understood by those who support the sector (including training providers)
⭐ visible to families making decisions about their children’s care

Not as an afterthought.
Not as an “alternative.”
But as a valued, intentional model of education and care.

And I know so many of you are already doing this work quietly every day.

𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝟰 𝘁𝗼 𝟳 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 – 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱-𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘁 🛡️🎒

For children aged 4 to 7 years, you should use either:

1️⃣ A 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱-𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗮𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘁 with an inbuilt harness
2️⃣ An 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘁

If your child is 7 years or older but still too small for a seatbelt, opt for a 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘁 or an 𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀. The minimum height for using a seatbelt alone is 145cm.
